Big rooms with comfy beds and a balcony. Fun swimming pool and close to the beach. The only negative thing is the food, not good enough for the 5 star rating. Nevertheless it's safe to say i enjoyed my stay. (Nikoleta from burger king is very friendly)

Huge complex & Shopping Mall. Dedicated & Helpful Staff. Clean Rooms & Daily Housekeeping. Lots of small bars/Cafes in or around the hotel. Mosquitoes so keep windows & Doors closed and use AC. Keep Repellant sprays handy if you are susceptible like me. All inclusive is good value. Family Friendly.

Big 5-star hotel with spa, multiple pools and restaurants, both hotel rooms and apartments. We own a couple of apartments and are very pleased.

Awesome hotel, bar personal is kind. If I had to pick one complaint it has to be the food. It's not the best thing I ever had. Also branded drinks are not included in the all inclusive package.

Located in the central area of Sunny Beach, Barceló is an extremely large complex that include a series of shops, a couple o mini markets, several buildings, some of these are assigned to the hotel others looks like are flat to rent for the summer period.

We have been staying In the E building, studio room.
Building condition, despite being apparently new are poor.
This is due to a simple lack of a basic maintenance and, a general dirtiness in the common areas.
Water leakage here and there, dirty walls, uncleaned corner, common area that have probably never been properly clean since the opening.

Rooms do not change the perception of poorness in the building.
Some have new furnitures some have old ones.
You might have a 50” TV or a 32” . Same room, same price (we rented more than one room so we had the occasion to verify personally). A brand new pair of chairs or a couple completely dirty of something spilled on them and never properly clean.

Rooms are generally dirty, this is a fact. You can expect sand and more worst from the previous “owner”; consider that the cleaning team basically will not vacuum your room, we personal checked, as a result, For example, Under the bed it’s simply terrible.

What you can reasonable expect is to have the bed ordered, not even properly, and a fast wash to the toilet were, toiletries are poor and towels are extremely old and of poor manufacture.

Gym is another example of lack of minimum standard. Machines are dirty, and probably never maintained.

I have been traveling enough all over the world for work to know that this shame it is all due to poor management, incapable of setting any reasonable minimum standard of service and to keep it running at a decent level.

Overall staffs try to do their best, plus or minus all have a basic English.

Restaurants are ok, but do not expect anything brilliant, breakfast is delivered under formula “quantity is better than quality”. Average nothing more.

Wi-Fi have a good coverage and a ore than fair speed in the rooms and common areas.
Parking is available under the building, enough large also for the bigger vehicles but can be crowded. It will be charged to your room, keep it in consideration if you are planning a long stay.

It’s not a five star for the common western understanding, much more of a typical three star residence that you can find in other European countries.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Rooms are very spacious with a good sized balcony to go with it.

We arrived late about 2 o'clock in the morning and after not eating since dinner we were pleased to see that a meat and cheese board with some bread and wine was left in the room for us to have a nibble before bed. A great touch.

The two buffet restaurants are great, although we definitely preferred the Cape Emine, the food seemed a bit better in my opinion. All the staff were very attentive offering drinks and clearing away plates promptly, even if their English wasn't the best.

Pool bar is brilliant. The staff are full of character and always seemed happy and cheerful. Great the the cocktails were included on All Inclusive. The snack selection on the pool bar was OK, we only had a few things from here as the main meals were enough to fill us most of the time.

The only negative I have of the whole of the Barceló is the A La Cartè restaurant. This is at the pool bar in the evenings. We were served our starters (mix meat and cheese plater) promptly which was great but less than a minute after clearing away just my plate while my girlfriend was still eating, the main courses were served to both of us. By the time she was finished her starter, her steak was cold. The staff spoke broken English and made it difficult to explain to them. So later I'm the evening we went back to the Cape Emine buffet.

The pool areas are very nice and there are plenty of sun loungers to go about (even tho people always seem to leave there towels and steal beds all day for no reason). The gym is basic but has all the equipment that is needed for a good workout. But if you go at 9am it's a little busy.

Outwith the hotel there is alot of attractions and things to do with lots of tour companies.

Overall the Barceló is a great hotel and I would definitely recommend a visit.

Staff were amazing especially the Animation Team (Ryan, Gabriel, Yordan, Anastasia) who kept up the positive vibe around the pool and are extremely down to earth and friendly! Hotel pools nice and all inclusive very generous, all buffets were tasty and there was an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails. Rooms a bit dated but ok nonetheless, the biggest downside was they weren't cleaned very well - towels not replaced, bed made haphazardly, bathrooms left untidy. But nothing awful. Overall excellent value for money, I'd look to Barcelo again. Nice hotel and a good jumping off point to explore Sunny Beach.

Not sure i would class this as 5* although it was ok. We were in rear facing room which meant balcony was in sun so too hot. Lots of noise late into night from local bars. Hotel entrance grand but then when they take you to your wing of your accom it is like going in tradesman entrance. Room fairly clean but not really enough equip for self catering. Good free wifi. Overall though unless you like clubbing all night and sunbathing all day then not a great place to go.

We arrived and got a room in section F wich is closer to the back exit of the hotel, when i've asked the lobby stuff to get some room closer to the lobby and the dinning room because i have some knee problems and can't walk a lot i was refused by the reason that the hetol is full and there is no empty rooms. But it wasnt full even by half! So every time that we needed to get to the lobby or the dinning room it took us more that 5 minutes to get there.
But the worst thing was that in the shower room there was a MOLD on the wall and when i told to the stuff about the they even didin't understood me what i've ment. And of course no one didn't do anything about it for 4 days than we stayed in the hotel. So it was really dissappoing stay in that hotel i was really excited stay theret. Probaply i'll never stay there anymore.

Wonderful hotel. Fast check-in. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice restaurants, specially La Carte. Only 2 minutes walking to go to the beach but far away of noise. Amazing swimming pools. No problem with hammocks. I really recommend this hotel.

Great hotel overall, not 5 stars as rated in brochures but clean and loverly rooms. Most staff are very friendly. We really liked the manager, a very understanding guy who gets things sorted! Food is repetetive but to be expected - not 5 star though. Enetertainment hit and miss. Pools are loverly, always clean. Bar available 24hrs. Close enough to sunny beach to walk but far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise. Could do with having food all the time, not just certain hours of the day. Also, breakfast had plenty of choice but was never really hot. I would recommend the a la carte as this is wonderful. Also the bistro at the outside bar is excellent too (starters are almost mains)!
