As I wandered the aisles fragrant aromas swirled around my head like a summer breeze. Taking in the sights and sounds I began to think of fonder times. Before long I found myself in the bakery section surrounded by the roles and buns I began to feel the excitment rising inside me like an ocean tide. It wasn't long before the excitment was too much and i could no longer contain myself. Sweat pouring from my body i began to attempt to stem the flow with buns and loaves of bread. The staff were very understanding and helpful as the removed me from the store covered in sesame seeds.

Fantastic supermarket in the heart of downtown Cairns. As well as a full supermarket also caters to those wanting a quick ready made lunch or snack at the fast food outlet inside the supermarket. Even provides tables and chairs to leisurely sit and eat or have a coffee. Great!!

Staff are a little brisk in their mannerisms but some what helpful to tourists has most basic Staples you would require and butcher's and seafood also now available range is good.

In our (somewhat limited) experience, Woolies has exceptional produce and meats, and this store was no exception. While some reviewers have complained that there are no shopping trolleys, they do have larger baskets that you can pull around on wheels. I imagine it would be hard for a family of four for a week’s shopping, but it was fine for the two of us for a few days. They do not have a car park, but they aren’t in an area where it’s feasible. It is unusual that there are entrances on two different streets, but that gives you more options for parking.

Massive Woolworths. Also has 3 "fast-food" outlets inside. Only disappointing part is NO shopping trolleys. Have to cram what you can in hand baskets.

Good size with please try of options. Good breads sell out fast. Other bakery items are average at best.
