Best Great Barrier Reef experience! Friendly and helpful crew and big ship!
Amazing amazing service. Really appreciate their helpful attitudes and making the trip great for us. We booked the wrong dates and the staff were so helpful and accommodating even though it was extremely last minute.)(literally 20 mins before) The tour was extremely well organized and we had the time of our lives.!
Fast and comfortable (although windy) catamaran trip to Green Island. Good snorkeling equipment. We saw lots of different colourful fish and even a large green turtle eating sea-grass. The coral wasn't fantastic and there were lots of people, but better further out from the beach.
The glass bottom boat trip was fun and we got to see some big fish and the captain let me drive the boat back to the pier.
Nice nature walk around the island.
All in all a great trip and one of the highlights of our holiday. Would recommend for families on a budget and those that don't want to travel several hours to the outer reef (and get seasick).
Excellent service and highly professional services.
Great helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble.
Other than the price being much more expensive than the other options, it was overall pretty nice.
As hard as I tried not to get seasick, I got it and would of wasted my whole trip if it weren't for the seasick pills that they gave out for free. Thanks to those seasick pills, Obwas able to get my sborkeling on. They had a big buffet, but I didn't have much of an appetite due to being seasick.
The snorkel they had were pretty cheap stuff; it was essentially a long straw. I have used ones where the snorkel didn't allow water in.
Was so excited to do this! Unfortunately the waters were frigidly cold but that was my fault for visiting during the Australian winter. The reef was so populated by tourists at the time that barely anything was visible except the few ordinary fish that hadn't already been scared off. People seemed to ruin it more than anything else though.
Don't bother with booking a transfer if you are staying in the CBD. It is so close, just walk or get a taxi as it will cost less.
Though the trip itself was good - we did a half-day at Green Island with glass bottom boat tour - the booking process ruined it for me. We booked and paid 3 months in advance and were sent a confirmation letter the day after booking.
The day before we were set to leave, I get a call from them to "reconfirm" my booking and everything was wrong - the date, the number of people, whether we had booked a transfer. That should have set off alarm bells. When we got to the check-in desk, I was told that even though it was their mistake to make the confirmation - which I had in writing, they would be charging me again. I threw up the white flag as arguing wasn't getting me anywhere and just agreed to pay being told it was $11 per adult. They then charged me $28. What a joke.
Our ticket also included morning tea, which we didn't get. So we paid for coffee and morning tea, didn't get it, and paid twice for a transfer which, it turns out, we didn't need as Great Adventures was only a couple blocks from our hotel. Such a shame because it could have been a great day, but was ruined by something so petty.
