Nice place to stay. Decent facilities
Functional, locations is great. Do not order food. It is not great..
It was good costumer service but lack of internet and enough power outlets just brought the experience down a little
Worst rest I've ever had in a hotel. The air con does nothing. Every morning my room smells of cooking fumes. The towels all smell like burnt curry. The pillows are rocks. I made the mistake of opening my window last night and my room soon filled with the delightful fragrance of cigarette smoke and fish. Seriously considering just sleeping in my car instead. The fridge isn't even vented properly and overheats the cabinet it is in ffs.
Pro: The wifi is pretty good as long as you don't click on the wrong button. It is in walking distance of an ice rink. 👍
Oh I almost forgot. They even ran a fire alarm test at 10am. So hope you don't plan on sleeping in late to recover from that night of sleep you didn't manage to get This one is so bizarre I'm not even angry about it.
Pro: The fire alarms work.
Overpriced food and understaffed. I have stayed many times for business purposes, so can be Ok if you just want to have a nice night sleep. Its supposedly a 4 stars, so Its clean.
Adequate accommodation and friendly, helpful staff. It does attract a lot of foreign tourists arriving late, so bring earplugs if you want a good night's sleep. Train and shopping center very close. Good stay.
I stayed here for 2 weeks. The rooms are pretty good. It's in a nice, quiet spot, and it wasn't terribly busy. All rooms have a sink, fridge and a microwave. The room service is good. A little pricey, but good. Would definitely stay here again.
The staff make ALL the stars.
EVERY visit they provide 6 star service.
And I can speak from a very heavy Australian and worldwide accomodation routine commencing in 1968 (1 year in Tahiti), and with very recent MEGA-Hotels, of world renown, frequently visited in recent years, such as the Metropol Moscow, and the The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel, in Saint Pete (many others but the Russians FO IT WELL) - the staff service here could compare.
Hotel is let down by ridiculously simple issues (often discussed outside whilst guests smoke e.g. ONE TINY BIN IN EACH ROOM ???? (silly). Worst Wi-Fi top 10 list in word, etc.
Stayed here when my partner was working away in Sydney. Absolutely beautiful hotel. The Food was lovely and the ladies at the front counter were beyond super nice.
I would recommend to others.
The location is ok, the rooms are ok but the Housekeeping is woeful. after a two week stay, there were stains on the tiles from previous spills still there, beds unmade, dishes not cleaned, floors not vacuumed. Even after a complaint to the management the Housekeeping was still a very low standard. I wouldn't stay again by choice, signs for vending machines but no vending machines, menu is almost no existent for room service.
Convenient location near the University, shops, cinema and fast public transport (trains, buses and express buses) to the city, airport and many parts of Sydney. Basic wifi was available and a USB charging point. Room was clean and comfortable.
1.5% surcharge on credit card. Plenty of outdoor parking used to be free, now $15 per night. Asked for a king bed but got 2 singles. One shorter than the other and not as comfortable. Bar staff were reception staff who were inexperienced. Tried to pour wine in small champagne flute and then, when corrected, filled a wine glass to the brim. Breakfast was quite good and auto cappuccino maker did a good job.
