The location was good but the room was small with a view of a brick wall. The bathroom had a broken shower curtain and the shower itself was so low I had to kneel to wash my hair. We spent the day shopping and came home at 3 to find the room still unmade. For the price we paid it was a disappointing hotel! Definitely wouldn't stay again.

Not a good experience at all. Ordered a room With two twin beds. As we can see on the photo the rooms which are twin beds (two pillows on beds means double beds) how ever we were given single beds in our room. Not the best 1st anniversary to have. Staff was unhelpful, quote 'what you ordered is what you get'. Even tho' it was not what we ordered.

The meeting room was great for the training I attended. It is also very close to central station which is a bonus. The food provided was very nice, although it was limited in variety. All in all very pleasant place for a 2 day training session.

Internet is expensive and hand cranked, toilet in this room has a wall up against the front so you have to sit sideways if you want to use it. First day had an incredibly loud mechanical grinding noise at random intervals I can't say how this compares to other hotels in the area but aside from the location and general cleanliness everything about this place was just a bad experience

it's a OK hotel for the budget. the room provide clean towels and sheets, shower get and shampoo. but no toothbrushes or toothpaste. one may hear noise from other rooms by the sides or above. for this stay, fire alarm went off at 1am!!! false alarm though, thankfully. but make you wonder about future stay.

Stayed in a twin room. Room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel gets the big things right but seems to slip up in the minor things. Was surprised there was no microwave or sink except the one in the bathroom. No hooks in bathroom to hang clothes on and the television had definitely seen better days. Hotel is in a great position, close to Central Station and Chinatown. There are plenty of good eateries nearby (I recommend Maloney's Hotel for a great reasonably priced meal). You couldn't find dinner a better hotel to stay in if you were seeing a show at the Capitol Theatre and wanted to stay in Sydney overnight. Accommodation costs were reasonable too. If you're thinking of indulging in the buffet breakfast, I'd skip it in favour of one of the nearby eateries.

The Metro Hotel Marlow was perfect for our short stay. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Located just a few minutes walk from Central train station made getting around the city and back to the hotel very easy. Metro hotel was located in Thai town and was surrounded by great places to eat and at fair prices. It is also conveniently located near food, convenience, and liquor shops. We would book again.

The area is great, but that's pretty much it.
The TV resolution is very poor, and I have to hold the remote control 5cm under the TV for it to have the slightest chance of reacting. The channels are known to malfunction.
The beds are very comfy, as long as you forget that they are on rollers and that they feel like they are on the verge of collapsing and taking you with it.
The food looks fake, and I would recommend that you do not try room service. Just find a restaurant nearby.
Security is poor. I am able to access level 8 on a card that's supposed to bring me to level 7.
Don't come here unless you're desperate.response / report this review -

The room was large in size and good value for the money paid. Clean, good ammenties e.g fridge kettle etc. The bathroom was small in comparison to the size of the room but was clean professional and still comfortable. The view was the best part about the room as you could see a wide expanse of the city street. All in all a very good room for the price.

Seriously not a good hotel to stay in! No responsibility for organizing a comfortable stay! Not even responsive for the shuttle they booked for airport! Almost missed my flight and the receptionist was very rude! Room aircon was a disaster and room service was very bad! Very noisy and old and very bad wifi. Beside the location Not good at all!

The location of the hotel is very convenient and easily accessible via public transport. The foyer area is rather nice and welcoming. The function room which is where the event I was attending was held wasn't of quite the same elegance/standard as the rest of the hotel, it appeared old and the carpet leading into the function room was old and discoloured and in definate need of replacing. The staff I encountered were all friendly and approachable. I noted there was very clear signage for things like the public toilets and courtesy phone to ring upto a guests room are all easily located as they were clearly labelled signs showing you the way. Overall I had a pleasant experience yet I wouldn't hire the function room for anything for myself until alittle refurbishing takes place.

Nicely situated in Thai town of Sydney, this hotel offers a great location to explore the local area. Close proximity to many Thai restaurants make dining an ease. (In our room at least, triple sharing) - The hotel is slightly in need of upkeep. Some work was done on the ceiling but was not plastered completely. The toilet was situated in front of a jutting wall requiring the user the sit in a sideways angle. Do note, walls are thin between neighbouring rooms. The hot buffet breakfast was subpar (for a 3.5* hotel) but it's commensurate with the price of the room/hotel we paid (normal breakfast is AUD 18 [as of March 2017]). Overall, if you can get a good deal on the room, it's a clean and safe hotel to bed down for the night.

I was there in Aug/2016 for 2 night stay. The hotel is great, clean, friendly staff. The area is quite convenience, 5 minute walk to the train central station. Surrounded by many restaurants.
