I own a commercial establishment, my property’s maintenance is thoroughly done each month, I bring in this company to update partial areas of my huge property which is always a great way to keep things fresh. I would highly recommend them.

Was told that I could stay with my husband overnight, only to be told I needed to leave at 3am.
They kept him waiting so long in emergency only to be told he’d have to wait until 8 am to get a boot fitted for his broken foot. But it’s totally worth waiting 6 hours it for 4 panadols.

After waiting years for elective surgery, I decided to enquire (yet again). This time I was informed they had no record of my request and would need to apply again. Don't bother yourself. St V's will do it in six months time.
Having said that of your admin, The Alfred saved my life three years ago and cannot fault your nursing staff and surgeons.

I went to emergency today and the adminision staff, triage nurse then medical professionals were all fantastic, caring, helpful and informative. I felt cared for and looked after, far better than I have in private system. Thank you so much to Alfred emergency staff you lived up to your mission.

I was in a car accident and came here after I started developing pains and nausea. I felt silly coming in after I had originally been okay but the staff were so lovely. They did absolutely everything to make me feel comfortable and at ease.

I can't praise them enough for what they did and how lovely everyone was.

Emergency staff - Jonny (nurse) and Dr. Julian were fabulous and care and explanation of what was going on with my father who was in respiratory failure was unbelievable. Staff in 4East were also great - especially Ebony (nurse). Only downfall was that sheets had not been changed the entire 5 days my dad was there, neither change of gown. Also, meals were terrible and only 3 meals served per day with no morning or afternoon tea. 15 hours is a long time without meals for an elderly ill patient to be fasting. Otherwise, cannot fault and best care provided.

My sister was seen in emergency today (14/7/17) with a blunt eye trauma & I can't praise the team there enough. We were in C6 & our nurse, doctor & opthamology team were amazing. Thorough, efficient & kind. It was so busy in there for you all but you had it impressively under control. Thank you so much team Alfred for making our extremely stressful & traumatic experience, better.

They don't seem to have set policies on many issues.from the moment I was referred there to the moment I was discharged.the answer you get very much depends on who you ask.
I've just come home from a stay in neurology ward 2 east and it was filthy. It's like a time warp.
On the bright side, most of the nursing staff were delightfulthose that weren't didn't cope well with being stressed and rushed off their feet. None of the staff seemed to have time to look after patients like they needed.
This isn't the first time I've experienced the public healthcare systembut it's definitely the first bad experience I've had!

    It was filthy
Lactose free unavailable so no meals edible

I have been in many hospitals over the past 10 years but NEVER ewoulf I return there.
Discharged myself due to filth and lack of care

Best hospital to go if you enjoy waiting in the waiting room for more than 3 hours

Not the best care at all, i went in for a lap band replacement. I did not get much care at all after it. Its was a overnight stay turned into a 13 day stay.
When i had the surgery they had accidentally nipped me with an surgery instrument of some kind. but it was the other side of my body from where they had operated it caused me to have 7 units of blood transfused and i had pain machines attached to me and i hadn't been out of bed once after getting on the ward. i need to open my bowels it hit me suddenly i rang my bell after 37 mins it was answered it was too late and told them if i could have pan i won't make it..they said no they dont use them any more instead they helped me to the toilet but i was doing it on the way how embarrassed was I. So i asked for social worker and told her what happened it was said it wouldn't happen again. it did they never answered my bell before 37 to 40 mins after i pressed it I am to scared to go to hospital now its just over a year this happened to me. I'm still affected by it now. I have asked a few times now t o have my files to the Austin for my fill and they said they will sort it for me. I haven't heard from them at all. I'm sad about what happened they said it was rare if they were sorry they would have given me the care I needed after it because its their fault and i can't do anything about it at all. I had to stop writing as I had a panic attack. There is NO after care at all even though it was their fault. it has affected me so much even now over a year on
