Quiet Surry Hills pub metres from Central Station. Good for sports viewing, good beer selection and food. Friendly service.

Perfect place to get a beer before a sport game. Schnitzels are MONSTROUS!

A solid basic three star accommodation. This is an old Pub style hotel. It offers good reasonably priced rooms with ensuites and is literally across the street from Central Station. It's not fancy but it is very adequate for a night or five in Sydney. My only complaint is that there are no irons in the rooms, however there is a communal one. There are ongoing street works which I suspect will continue for another month or two (I was here in August 2017) which may be noisy but will result in a tram service to the door! I will probably stay here again as it is so convenient to the CBD.

Great place that is easily located next to Central where you can start the weekend, or wait for public transport to start up in the morning.

Going through some upgrades, but great staff, cocktails in the rooftop bar were surprisingly amazing for a place that doesnt have that snobby cocktail lounge look. The atmosphere and vibe is real casual and just a great place to have a few drinks and chill out after work.

Frankly I love the exhibition hotel. Firstly the food here has become amazing recently. Apparently they recently got a whole new kitchen staff. I got a huge chicken schnitzel for 16 bucks and that suits me just fine. There's some track work going on outside but who cares. It's comfy, cheap, and the staff and security are really quite friendly. Probably the only decent large smoking area in all of sydney that doesn't make you feel like you are stuck in a dark corner. I'll be coming back.

The room was clean and comfortable bed. Usual facilities with a good sized shower. Unfortunately when we stayed here there was major, long term road works going on in front of hotel which were being worked on all through the night. We had booked this a couple of months prior to our visit so it would have been nice if the hotel could have contacted us to advise us of the noise. We did email them to confirm our arrival time 3 days before our visit so they could have mentioned it then. We haven't tried their restaurant yet.

Food was average but I was horrified with what the fella in the kitchen done.

There were no forks so I asked for one and the guy picked up a dirty fork from a tub full of used dirty cutlery, quick wipe and gave it to me. This all happened right in front of me. I looked shocked and said no, i would like you to clean that with water mate not a wipe. He went to the sink held it under the cold tap, quick wipe again and came back. I am only assuming it was the cold tap as the fork was cold to the touch not warm like it would be had it of been hot water.
Again I said no mate, please go and use hot water and washing up liquid. I cannot believe I had to ask twice just to get a piece of cutlery cleaned, you would think this would be standard procedure to wash cutlery and dishes in hot water with soap? I am pretty sure you could lose your health rating for that should the council hear about what goes on
