HIGHLY RECOMMEND before you go see the Great Barrier Reef. Gareth is an amazingly smart and well spoken Marine Biologist that not only will teach you many things about the ecology of the Reef, but also make you bust a gut laughing.

Highly educational and informative presentation about GBR life and ecology. Definitely recommend prior to snorkle/dive trip, although I attended the day after my reef trip and still found it beneficial and informative. Be sure to bring dinner with you if needed and be prepared for the talk to extend beyond stated finish time.

That evening was absolutly amazing! I would give ten stars if I could!
Havn't been laughing that much in a while!
But although it was super informative!
Gareth has done such a good job explaining us everything you need to know about the coral and fish life at the GBR.
Now I am perfectly set for my next dive!
Definitly a Cairns must-do even if you don't scuba dive.

    OUTSTANDING!!
Being a tenderfoot at sea life is pretty common.
From the very beginning to the very end the lesson-or we could call it friendly chat- was easy to follow. Even when English isn't Your mother tongue!! (I'm Spanish)
So yeah, 10 out of 10. Good videos and all the topics are well chosen! And of course the good correct amount of fun fact that you will remember ever after. Do not hesitate GO.i loved it!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to go before hitting The Great Barrier Reef- because as it is said "with learning comes appreciation"

Absolutely fantastic! Going to reef teach before diving the GBR was incredibly fun and insightful.
I was able to identify lots of fish and corals, which made the experience even more interesting.
    Also, there's tea and biscuits.
    Money well spent!

Unbelievable awesome! We learned a lot in those two hours about corals and fish. It costs 23 $ p.p. and is really worth going! It is very interactive and they took their time to answer all questions so that we even did more than the planned time. Anyway Eric was not pressed by the time and with plenty of free coffee, tea and cookies we had a very enjoyable evening

One of the best things you can do with $18.00 in Cairns!
Me and my girlfriend went along today and found the experience to be not only very interesting and knowledgeable, but also very fun. The dude who hosts the show is one of the funniest, most excitable people I have ever seen teach before which is awesome because he makes you feel engaged for the whole talk and really makes you want to get down in the Ocean and see just what he is so excited about!
Not only that, you also feel very welcome the whole time you're there.

I'm personally very happy I went along and I know for certain that you will be too!
