First impressions count, and a completely dismissive welcome lacking any warmth or friendliness put me off instantly.

The room itself is small but clean and functional. I could rail hear people walking outside the door on the creek floor.

Close to the train station and has a bistro. However the area lacks any substantial eateries of any quality.

Cheap but clean and good for those travelling on a budget that don't need luxuries but appreciate a clean and comfy room

My daughter and I ordered the chicken kiev for dinner. It tasted like it had been in the warmer since lunch and then microwaved before being served. It was so tough that it was impossible to cut with a knife. Needless to say, we both didn't eat much of our meal. Apart from the food I can't fault the service, atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.

The photos on the website are pretty spot on but if you see a courtyard or balcony, you might have to ask for one because not all rooms have them.

Very friendly service and clean. Plus, with the train line across the road, you can't go wrong.

I was here on a business trip and the location was great for public transport and getting around. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The pub grub was pretty good too.

Surprisingly friendly staff; food was better than expected. Always knew they were there for years, but only just managed to arrange a family outting for dinner. Should go back again some time.

Buffet meals supplied at lunch time and pensioners prices. Great selection from roast meal through to salads. Desert is extra at $9.95 and good portions. Service was very good and pleasant and warm and comfortable for an older building. Worth a visit. Not sure what evening meals are like as was only there at lunch time.

The location is handy, right by Bayswater Train Station. Food is OK, though overpriced for what you get unless you're into salad-bar food.

Went there for dinner and a beer. Reasonable meal, ok prices (cheap if you get in on one of the daily deals). All you can eat salad bar was a bonus. Friendly atmosphere. All in all a pretty decent suburban hotel.

The seafood buffet was pretty good. Not a 5 staff place by any means but for the price it's really hard to beat. Really generous with portion sizes when ordering a la carte. Kids were dumbfounded with the banana split. They couldn't belive the size!!!!!

Came here for the advertised seafood buffet for dinner on Tuesday', so happened we went on Valentine's day. Majority of food was really good quality, oysters, prawns, salmon, cold noodles, chilli mussels, chilli crab (swimmers), garlic butter clams and pork ribs in particular were enjoyable. Apparently pizza to order was included in the buffet for 33.95. The venue was packed but generally the food was being replenished at a good rate. The table we were sat at was decorated with roses for the occasion. Thanks for an enjoyable night, will be back with another group of friends. Waitresses were busy but friendly and helpful when i had their attention.
