Clean. Well equipped, Close to the city centre, bar/restaurant (if you're able to call it that) only open in mornings. Great for train spotting as the lines right outside of your window. Aircon is a little hit/miss. Parking definitely is not free.

Had all the basics and was very afforable and very easy walking distance to the train station and city shops. Only thing i didnt like was it wasnt a well lit street and there was an area next to the building where a lot of homeless people were hanging around which made it feel a bit unsafe when walking home at night time so would not recommend walking back at night time if it can be avoided or be very careful other whys was a great stay

Staff was unable to put the right number of nights into the system. Locked out of the room and treated like it was my fault. YHA can be better.

It’s okay, decent place to stay. Bummer that it’s right next to the train tracks, and that the free WiFi can’t even load snapchats. My speedtest came back at .5 to .7 mbps, and that’s when it actually worked. Of course there is a $5 per day upcharge for premium internet. Stupid.

Anyone giving less than 5 stars for this hostel really needs to take a long hard look in the mirror ;) Seriously though, I have stayed in YHAs all over Aus and NZ, and they are all typically great, but this one stands out for staff friendliness, super common spaces and the best location in WA!

Has a small gym inside, and an outdoor pool. So yes it is a little bit more expensive but worth it for those things. Not a great community vibe, clean kitchens and bathrooms though.

Was a great stay beats every other back packers in town if ya want ya belongings safe and a chilled back packers staff are friendly as it doesn't attract arseholes and they have a log of people who stay so if there is a idiot he be booted quick smart and won't return to any YHA BACK PACKERS IN AUSTRALIA.

Tbh, things have two sides. The room is cheap and location is great. But just that you can get this in exchange for rude staff who cut my call after my inquiry without speaking.

Location is superb, rooms are reasonably comfy, serice are pretty good. Just that, there are quite dark around the area, therefore people should be more aware of the surrounding.

Good sized clean rooms and areas. Staff are great and helpful, the only problem I've had are other guests using substances in the bathrooms

I went to this place probably about 2 yrs ago. It was average. Nothing bad, nothing good.
But since then, it seems they've done up the place. The entrance and lobby are real nice, (and not confusing, like before).
The desk staff are really nice! Every time!
The rest of the hostel has been upgraded too. New carpet everywhere, and the outside areas are extremely comfortable, and everywhere is clean! This is an awesome hostel. I will definitely be back!

Spacious. Handy to everything. YHA have a significant chunk of the market because they're good. I highly recommend them! View from the best tower. See Swan Bell Tower, it and its fountains worth a visit. Especially on the quarter hour. Bonne chance, anyway.
