Staff are very helpfull. Food is good, for dinner lamb shanks and tiramisu cooked to perfection. Today, I intend on travelling by bus to Cairns whereby postcards are the order of the day. Because, I promised 30 friends in Melbourne that a card would have arrived by middle of this week and as I am only here till Friday a hop skipping and jumping I will go. Look at the size of this fan in my bedroom!!
Booked a massage and told the lady I was on the train to Kuranda so appointment would have to be tomorrow. She offered me two appointments 1pm and 3pm (myself and my wife). At 1.10pm that day she called asking if I was coming for my appointment. After explaining to her I booked for tomorrow she informed me that she said the booking was today. She blamed me and gave me a whole lot of attitude and reluctantly rebooked me for tomorrow. I called back an hour later to cancel. Thanks for the sass but I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
Great hotel with a swim up bar and plenty of local eateries and bars. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. If I could make a few suggestios, fogging the balconys of hotel rooms would reduce the amount. of bugs and if the pool bar opened earlier that would be nice. We are on holidays after all 😂
Big and comfortable rooms. Lovely swimming pool with in water bar and sandy beach. Breakfast could be better.
Great location to see the rainforest and the coral reef.
The location is great & the pool area away from the coast breeze is perfect.
I believe this is a 5 star resort, it's a lovely place to stay , very clean which is the main thing.
The pools are great, beautiful to look at & very relaxing, if you don't mind the kids.
People are not pretentious here.
Staff are helpful and friendly.
There are a few things not perfect such as the small breakfast & long restaurant area making it cramped to get around. The choice is standard. Could do with a slight difference on some of the days.
Also, the dishwasher needs cleaning as the plates / dishes have bits on them 🙈
Mini bar was not restocked in 4 days so far which means no beers and more importantly no water. They do not restock unless you ask.
The furniture is worn & no storage area in the bathroom.
Other than this a lovely place.
Loved the plunge pool, staff, food was perfect and will definitely return. Penthouse apartment was really well set out and flashy
The absolute worst buffet breakfast I've ever had. All cooked food was like eating rubber, completely tasteless, only four fruits to choose from in tropical North Queensland which was either green or over ripe. Coffee was disgusting and had to pay extra for a real coffee after paying $400 for one night stay. Something seriously needs to be done about the food. Otherwise the room and pool was nice, still not quite worth the price paid. Staff also nice but the food was just soooo bad I can't give it more than one star.
The staff were absolutely joyful. Nothing was too much trouble, all our questions answered, all help offered and so many smiles. The swim up bar food was tasty the surrounds are really clean and tidy. Daily housekeeping was a treat!
Peppers beach club is centrally located, beautifully appointed. We enjoyed the Spa penthouse two bedroom suite with beach views. Staff were friendly, helpful and there when you needed them. Multiple dinning options of varying cuisine. We look forward to our next visit.
Good, clean rooms. Great location. Awesome pool. Child friendly
Awesome for families and facilities are excellent. Great service and very good breakfast selection
Had a great stay here so close to the beach and very relaxed Pool bar staff a bit arrogant.. Rooms could have a bit of make over
Overall nice place for a romantic weekend or to take the kids away..
As we travelled as a new family Peppers in Palm Cove was brilliant.
Key takeaways:
+'s
• Family oriented, great for the kids in a very well appointed hotel/resort.
• Great staff, food and room service.
• Fantastic location with a sweet village feel.
• Room was self sufficient with well appointed kitchen and laundry if you're planning a long stay.
-'s
• Not the best if you hate stairs, are looking for a sedate (quiet) adult weekend away or honeymoon even if proximity and amenities may suggest it could be.
Kids fill the main pool before lunch and mid afternoon and with most piazza style layouts you will experience some noise. That being said the rooms are very quiet when the balcony doors have been closed and there is a great variety of rooms available. Don't fret they are air conditioned.
No issue if you are travelling with kids it's ideal.
There were many couples there and they stuck to the sun lounges and secondary pool area as the establishment is large enough to find a patch of peace and quiet.
The proximity of Peppers to the multitude of activities make it fantastic with the opportunity to explore rainforests to sugar cane plantations from crocodiles to the Great Barrier reef. It's all at your doorstep.
The other great thing about Palm Cove is that I found the local businesses, whilst few, offered better service, quality and price than anything we found in Port Douglas.
I'd have given Peppers 5 stars if it were not for some wear an tear the resort has seen over the last few years. Worn furniture and a few details that are probably due for replacement or repair in due course but it is very minor in the scheme of things.
Will definitely stay here again. Great experience.
Great location across the road from the designated swimming area. Room was a good size, spa on the balcony was a nice touch, but felt overlooked. Breakfast was really good, should consider a separate section for kids and their parents - that goes for the pool area also.
