Nice rooms with good sized beds. No free water though, peculiar hotels down under really. Paid car park but easy and accessible. Nice amenities, no nonsense kind of hotel. Akin to a business like hotel. Strength is convenience. Haven't really explored surroundings by foot, but the vicinity has loads to offer

The hotel is rather uninspiring. It's location is the first let down . I assume for those with cars, which many guests appeared to be, access via the close main road is easy. However the parking charges as advertised seemed high. but for those like me with no car, public transport was limited. The train station (Camellia) close by is not sign posted and probably with reason, as the service from there is awful (once an hour or less) and requires changing trains to get anywhere. The main station at Parramatta is a good 20 minutes walk away. This is also the distance to the hotels gym - yes to use the gym or even the showers means a 20 minutes walk each way - I suppose it gets you warmed up. Check In and Check out were handled well with helpful staff. The bedrooms were average size but the bathrooms are a little tired. beds are comfortable. I didn't eat at the hotel but there are fast food and pizza places over the road. Value for money - well twice the price of much better hotels in Asia but I guess that's standard Sydney prices.

Checking in. Great. Paying for parking $15a day. $15 a movie on a sub standard TV. Weird Smell in room. Stained curtains. Torn curtains. For $250 a night. I'll be going somewhere else thanks. Other than those small problems. I earn $23.30 flat rate I have to be picky about how and where I spend my money. Sorry for less money I'd expect that.but not at those prices. I expect better. You know a good reason to. Spend that kind of money.

My family of four and I recently stayed two nights here at the Mercure. We experienced a very comfortable, modern and spacious room fitted with a generous size bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was absolutely amazing! Customer service was first class. Our second night stay was a last minute decision and hotel staff went above and beyond the second mile to help secure a room for us. A special thank you to a staff member named Albert who helped us in securing a room.

Friendly and helpful team, willing to provide assistance in any way they can. Comfortable beds too. Breakfast was really good. Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Quiet and peaceful, despite being situated near the main road.

We are frequent travellers - locally and internationally and have stayed in some 'top' hotels. Without doubt your staff at Parramatta are second to none. Each and everyone of them went out of the way in terms of friendliness and service. Many five-star establishments could learn quite a few lessons from the team.

First impression was great, right from the entrance up to the service we received on checking in. We're told our room had been upgraded to suite so even better. Our room was nice and tidy and were quite impressed considering the deal we got. The room was cold so tried to adjust the air con. Wouldn't heat up. Called reception, told us pretty much what we had already done. We left the room to head to the birthday that we were there for and left the aircon set at 35 in the hope that it may start to heat while we out but no it didn't. We returned at around 11pm to a pretty cold room.
Next was the lifts, we didn't notice until we were in bed that our room backed onto the lifts, all night we were woken by the sound of them going up and down, on top of this it seemed that the floor we were on had a large number of people from the one family staying as well and all we could hear was doors constantly slamming and their kids running up and down the hall well past midnight.
On a positive note, breakfast was included and we enjoyed sitting outside in the morning sun with a very nice breakfast.

I had a wonderful time. I had been attending a conference and thoroughly enjoyed coming back to such a friendly place and relaxing afterwards. The staff were all pleasant, smiling and friendly. I loved my room (419) the view was terrific. My dining experiences have left a bit to be desired unfortunately. Just not up to the quality of the rest of my stay in your wonderful establishment.

Nice and comfy, really hot weekend so the aircon was nice. Our first room had a rattling aircon which was annoying so we got "upgraded" but it really wasn't an upgrade considering the room was exactly the same just a different room number.
    Food was pretty good too.
I didn't really find the beds all that good.

Very elegant place. Staff were very kind and went the extra mile to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Rooms were modern and internet was actually usable! Only issue was location, I wish it was closer to the center of Parramatta.

Service with a smile, the team claim to provide excellent service and back it up. I like the friendly confident service. Be aware of the add ons, we anticipated paying for breakfast but not sure parking fees when you are staying for the night are warranted.
