Small - but with lots of useful kitchen supplies. Prices are reasonable. An apprentice can get knife sets and uniform components here at a decent cost.

Very rude customer service. Started my apprenticeship and needed kitchen wear. The tone and attitude was very rude and pushy and honestly was very clear that they just wanted me to get out. And I just did. Would recommend going to Aussie Chef Clothing Company, it's much cheaper and staff treat you like you're human

Worst service ever, there was a staff member right in the way of two aisles and she studiously ignored me while I was looking for something, actively edging away from me with crossed arms to the point where I wasn't even sure if she was staff or not. Literally got in the way of me trying to buy stuff. Another staff member was totally not interested in helping me when I did ask for help. Might help if they went out and got some sun or vitamin B, or they could be vampires/zombies, who can say!

I visit this shop whenever I come to Melbourne. Good range of products for the aspiring home chef plus more. Lots of inspiration. I would give the shop 5 stars based on past visits but last weekends visit was strange. I didn't recognise any staff (young girl seemed to be in training and did ok and was helpful). So I asked to see their cultures (cheeseI've made mozzarella and fetta and haloumi no probsI know how it worksi want to throw some bacteria in now). I want to see how they're packaged and want to ask how to transport them back to Brisbaneare they temp sensitive? What do they look likeI like foodI'm curious A short guy comes up in a mild huff and asks what i want. I want to make cheese with culturescan you show me how packaged? He gets iratehe says "nah mate but ya gotta get citric acid and all tha otha stuff ya know like in the boxes here look". I told him noI know about citric acid etcI'm only interested in the cultures. So he keeps banging on about other cheese making ingredients and I tell him that i'm only interested in the cultureshe has no idea and he huffs and puffs like a loon. I try to explain to him what a culture is and that it is in no way related to citric acid or cheese salt etc but he bounds off like an angry hobbit to the back of the store. All i can imagine is that this shop is an equal opportunity employer and they've taken on this brain damaged tard and for that I commend them so I will visit again. Cheer up shorty. And learn how to nurture peoples passion for food, your store depends on ithow can you be angry and stupid while teaching people about food? When someone wants to learn about food from you and you don't feel utter joy for the privilege then its time you found another job shorty.

Beware! They will not refund you even if you buy and return their product the same day. They will only give you a credit note so you can buy their overpriced goods. Simply awful experience.

Everytime I'm in town I love to pop in to see what's new. I have always found the staff to be both knowledgeable and helpful. There is a bit of cheap and cheerful stuff but there is also higher quality things that last ages. I prefer to buy stuff once and not replace it and they have what I need - or will order it for me.
