Really nice restaurant. Food was delicious, prices were reasonable. Would recommend everyone to try the place. I'm from Sydney but will definitely come back next time I'm in Cairns.

Excellent customer service & beautiful food. However, the karaoke is not as good as it used to be since they've installed the play stations. Difficult to operate. No song books. Even worse video clips. Disappointing.

Used to be one of my absolute favourites, the sweet soy pork and wasabi and the udon stir frys were great. Used to have friendly staff but now the customer service is horrendous and there is clearly something very wrong with Kanpai. The fall of a dynasty perhaps.

Great service by Ken, he was very informative and professional. The new refurb is eye catching. Food is amazing. Recommend the chicken fried rice. Tokoyaki is beautiful. Amazing.

Used to be excellent since re model terrible service and even when a table has been booked over the phone you get turned away often for stupid reasons. Very disappointed, Birthday dinner plans had to be changed.

Overall: There staff was not friendly and the food had nothing distinguished for someone had real Japanese food.
Service: The staff was not able to tell how their food was made of nor to find the answer for me. The Wi-Fi has appeared to my mobile, I asked politely if they provide free Wi-Fi at all. The waitress just answered "no" then walked away when it was not busy. I felt really bad about her action.
Cleaness: Their plastic spoon was oil. Their cook and waiter talked in front of the open BBQ place where they made our food all the time.

This is the worst experience I had in Carins.

Kids are Sushi nuts but the adults arent as much, Kanpai has something to suit everyone though.

Love being able to order when/whats required using the tablet and have it bought out pretty quickly.

Staff are always extremely friendly and always have a smile
