Second time here. Continues to be an amazing place. Great rooms, great staff, paradise island.

Absolutely outstanding!!! Naturally stunning place, rooms were amazing, friendly staff. I stayed with family however I am fantasising about my next trip as it would be SO romantic - honeymooners dream :-) The inclusions, particularly the outer reef day trip with lunch was amazing as well as the daily buffet brekkie. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to return!

Only to visit this island and it was so special it takes your breath away. The experience of snorkeling along the beach to sea all those creatures under water and the glass bottom boat to see turtles swimming along side the boat as well as the tropical fish under the boat threw the bottom glass was all breath taking and not to be missed.

Did a half day tour. Great access point for exploring great barrier Reef. Free to roam snorkeling adventure. Glass bottom boat was fun too, but not the highlight.

2016: Gorgeous location, high quality hotel with lovely staff.
2017: Packages are great with breakfast, outer reef tour and glass-bottomed boat ride all included. Daily inclusions of fish feeding and sunset drinks take this resort to a higher level. Beach loungers and water activities are also included for house guests. The rooms are fresh and clean with quality toilettries and linen. Food is of an excellent standard, although the restaurant is a little pricey for extended stays. Room service is a good option, as is the picnic hamper.
While kids are catered for, it is not a family holiday resort.
Staff are exceptional: Joe, Cory, Kyla, Claudia in the restaurant; Travis and Nick in the glass-bottomed boats and friendly housekeeping and amenities staff make for a memorable stay.
As a national Park, there is an enormous amount of plant, bird and marine life to explore. The surrounding coral reef is glorious and home to a huge variety of fish. The main attraction is always the turtles. Majestic and breath-taking. You see plenty from the jetty but it is amazing to share the water with them.
Day trippers to the island make the main areas busy between 10am and 4pm, but then the island belongs to a maximum of 100 guests.response / report this review -

Stayed 4 nights at the resort. The whole place is amazing! Although hard not to be given its in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef. Staff and service is exceptional. Food, drink, and minibar are all reasonably priced. Can't say enough positive things about this place.

We went for the day from Cairns it's a really nice place and it doesn't take too long to get there maybe 45 minutes it does get a bit wavy halfway and you do start to feel a bit sick but it was worth it I didn't really like the fact that you had to pay for stinger suits and that the lifeguard area is full of chairs and umbrellas that you need to pay $40 to use, there is no other space to sit, you need to squeeze in between the chairs, don't think I would go there again, the glass bottom boat was cool.

The resort was pretty good. There was a smell of toilets around the food court though unfortunately. Overall the resort was pretty good. Food was reasonable and good quality

Green Island Resort. Barrier reef. Good place for snorkeling. You have also a drive with the glass bottom boat if you are guest of the resort. Also, you get a sundowner after fish feeding which is also included in your arrangement.

This is a resort on an island called green island. There are nice spacious and well air-conditioned rooms, mainly with a wooden interior. There is a larger than average bath tub and a shower with conservative water pressure. They leave tasty chocolate mint cookies on your pillows. The hotel staff is great and you get superior treatment for being a house guest. However, keep in mind, there are day visitors who come in at 9:10 and leave at 4:30 (around 2000 a day to be exact) and the island is very small. Therefore, you feel a bit like a sardine in a can. However, the hotel itself is sectioned off so that's okay. They have various water offerings. However, I would not recommend the resort for anybody who has done more than their checkout dive. It's overrun with snorkelers and non-certified divers. The visibility could be better for diving. For snorkeling, there are nice corals and fish not too far off from the shore. Definitely ask one of the hotel staff for recommendations on where to swim for best snorkeling sites off the island.

It's one of those place to experience the nature. And a unique aspect of nature at that. While the nature is innocent and breathtaking, the desire to be profitable is the opposite. While the tour companies themselves are fine and doing the best they can. The island management has overlooked a lot of things. For example there are not enough toilets neither change rooms. This tells a bit about where their priority is. There is possibly a few hundred people on the island at any given time, we could only find two showers. What are they thinking.
