I came to Globetrotters with the intentions of leaving the next day; 3 months later and I finally managed to say goodbye to this majestical palace of dreams.
Only a short walk away from Cairns central, Globetrotters is ideal for those wanting to stay somewhere short/long-term without the hassle of sleepless nights.
The company and staff are friendly, inviting and most of all, fun! From the moment I arrived I felt like part of the community.
The breakfast is amazing and the pancakes are insane, not to mention all the other free events the hostel organise!
There really is no question about it; Globetrotters International is the best hostel Cairns has to offer!response / report this review -

I don’t even know where to start, I love this hostel, really clean and modern, by far the best we have stayed in throughout our travels in Australia. The free breakfast is great, such a great value for money. My favourite part is there is soo much room for cooking and the fridge lockers are such a good idea to ensure everyone has room. The pool glows a really cool blue at night and is equipped with pool noodles and a ball, the tv with dvds. I could go on for hours because it really is that great. I think the only improvement I would suggest is putting bins with lids in the toilets, it hasn’t been that plesant seeing used feminine hygiene products to greet you hanging out of bins (more other people’s lack of courtesy than the hostel but still there is always one). But other than that an amazing hostel great location, great amenities, the free bbq is lovely and the night out thIng on Wednesdays. If we are ever back on this side of the world and in cairns it’s the first place we will book. Private rooms are so nice too.

This was my favorite hostel in all of Australia. The rooms were fine but what made this place was the people: everyone here was so awesome. I have stayed in touch with more people from this hostel than any other I have stayed at.

Good welcoming but not much information about the services provided. However, I was a bit in a rush, arriving very late and leaving very early. Therefore, I didn't have much opportunity to see anything or talk with the staff apart from the essential. Excellent location, very close from the sea shore and not far from nice restaurants and cafes.

Globetrotters is my favourite hostel so far.
It's more of a sharehouse feeling than a hostel.
The staff is always friendly and keeps a happy atmosphere around.
The fridges have locks so you don't have to worry about your food being stolen or moved around which is a relaxing detail.
The beds are very comfortable and wide with white and fresh sheets.
Internet is free 24/7 which is great.
BBQ nights and free breakfast every morning is a plus.
I really would recommend this hostel to anyone that wants a secure and fantasic place to stay.

This place is really chill and relaxing and is SUPER clean! Loved my stay here many perks and they staff are friendly and chill.
I cannot stress how clean this hostel is its amazing. The fridges are so organized and you get your own security box in them. keeps things clean and organized. There is 3 kitchens and showers and bathrooms all over.
The pool is great too and there is many places to lay down and relax.
The only down side is they seem to have a Pharaoh Ant problem so keep your food in the fridge or you'll soon find this 1mm ants all over your food. I do not blame this on the hostel as these ants are impossible to destroy and are harmless.response / report this review -

I had to lovely days in this Hostel. The Staff was friendly and helpful. Once our bathroom wasn't clean it was just a short notice giving to the reception and there was quick somebody coming to clean it. I love the system of having your own fridge locker and kitchen stuff, with that you can make sure that your plates, pans etc are clean, the kitchen is easier to keep clean and nobody is eating your food :) breakfast was enough and if you come at the right time you even get pancakes :) would definitely stay there again.

Really good place. Fun and lively during the day, quiet at night when you need rest. Not a party house. Good for travelers that need longer stays.
Clean and organized. Staff is helpful and will accommodate you as best as possible.
Free breakfast everyday and BBQ 2 times a week. Awesome common area with TV and video game consoles!
Nice view and next to the Esplanade. All in all great spot - not far from downtown.
I recommend Globetrotters and would go back there myself whenever I'm traveling to Cairns.response / report this review
