Just been back after a year break and I loveeee thisplace just feels like homeee hehehe glad it’s still fun and looks even cooler. Mainly friendly staff and fun interactive people all round. Keep being this way! Funny I’m back seeing the people are still here like everything is just the same!
Poor facilities! Dirty Facilities! Unprofessional and unenthusiastic staff! Unless you are a potential new member and they want your business!
Equipment needs upgrading!
If something is broken they don’t replace it!
The facilities are filthy!
The daycare is concerning - I would not put my child in there under any circumstances!
They don’t listen to customer feedback!
The staff at the front are so under trained and have no interest in serving their customers unless it’s money orientated!
Don’t waste your money!!! Way better gyms out there!
Adequate equipment most of the time. The vibe is nice in the morning. PTs are hit and miss with who they choose to smile at. I am a long term member as I pay a good membership rate!
Worst Gym Ever. The equipment is in such bad condition. They don’t maintain or replace anything - the place is a pig sty, the staff are all rookies. The personal trainers literally just walked out of he Australian institute of fitness and are amateurs! I mean if you wish to pay $15 for a gym membership and never go to the gym this place is perfect for you! If you are after decent equipment don’t even bother !
cool gym, quite a lot of equipment, no boxing bags though. pool is currently closed until further notice. the group fitness room is huge
Rude, Abrupt and no services. Spoke to lauren - extremely rude and arrogant - They forget how important their customers are…..
I love this club. Staff are friendly and you get a great atmosphere in there as well.
Standard gym. Can be really busy at times. No spa. Sauna doesn't seem to have accurate thermometer. Gym equipment satisfactory, some maintenance required.
Staffs are very racist. Price isn't good. They close your access once you're behind with payment. At Jetts 24/7 nothing's like it.
As a past personal trainer there, I can honestly say that this gym is a terrible place to work, and also a terrible place for clientele. As a PT they don't look after you in gaining clientele and do not care for your wellbeing as a valuable asset to their team. The gym is absolutely small which doesn't help anyone as you often have to share around equipment between sets. I will recommend this gym to no one.
Management doesn't care about members feedback, equipment is often out of order, poorly maintained and just fair or below standards from other gyms. The A/C has never worked properly and now they don't even care in replacing the faulting vents.
Their Facebook page is only to promote stuff to sell you and they are also faking the reviews asking employees and their relatives to give them good reviews (just look at how many 5 stars they've got between 20-22 June 2016 and who those are coming from)
Some other Good Life clubs in Perth are better but not by much and the general sense of lack of interest in members and only caring about your money is everywhere.
The only time they replaced equipment and renovated was when a 24/7 gym opened next door a few years ago. Oh yeah! that time they were all over the place to please us, but it didn't last long.
I used to see good cleaners around doing a great job, not anymore since 2 years. It seems that now cleaning is done sporadically and the group fitness room is always full of dirt.
Goodlife Mt Lawley used to have a comments box, I left several in regards of safety issues but no one never responded, not even when I asked specifically by email. The rumour is that managers and receptionists used to laugh at the notes members left and the things they complained about.
The swimming pool seems to be maintained only with chlorine. The hydro-massage was removed when it broke down, instead of repairing it. The sauna lacks of appropriate and basic safety gear, such as a thermometer and a clock or a timer. There are no guidelines on how to use it either and the isolation of the door is poor, loosing a lot of energy to heat up a -most of the times- empty room. The electrical wiring is a time bomb and regulations are not followed, such as the plug next to the water fountain. During a year mirrors were missing but nobody cared. Not even details such as the 12 weeks challenge winner plaque on the leadership board has been updated. The last winner listed is over 2 years old.
The best part are some of the loyal long term personal trainers, who are very experienced, and the group fitness trainers, but even they are treated like crap by business owners as reflected on their actions. Receptionists do what they can do manage it but they don't even have the right tools to do it. They've recently replaced their computer software and it is always crashing.
Don't be fouled, Goodlife does not care about your safety, your well-being or your satisfaction. They only care about your money, so take it somewhere else.
changing room is dirty. If someone really would want to steal something it is very easy to break into each locker. Small gym, evaporative cooler, constant fan in whole gym. its like you working out in the wind.
Easy access to the pool but limited showers in change room. Staff very friendly
