Love love love it! Beautiful beach, lots of water sports to do, lots of lovely cafes etc (but can be expensive). I think the business people could me more friendly. It feels very vey safe here.

Spent 5 days there for my daughter's wedding. The view from our 2 bedroom beachfront apartment was amazing but the rooms were not up to the expectations that the photos showed. The room was right above shops so no privacy at all. Could have done with a good clean as well. Towels only get changed after 7 day stay no top up of any condiments or toilet paper during your stay. Broken kitchen equipment and dirty stained crockery. Payed $370 a night to enjoy a hot tub on the balcony only to be told it's broken 3 days before we arrive with no offer of a discount only an offer to be moved to a pool view room. Not happy at all but a beautiful place to visit.

We stayed here in Sep 2010. It was OK but nothing great. The whole place looks a bit run down and our room was rather dated. After seeing other places in the area, after we arrived, we realised we could have got a lot better for the money. It is in a nice location but the cleanliness and staff let it down. Palm Cove is lovely but next time we will stay elsewhere.

From looking at the website we had fairly high expectations and we weren't disappointed, We visited with 4 couples and 4 singles and the apartment layouts suited us brilliantly. Space to be together and space to be apart, Stayed for a week and could have stayed longer. Plenty of restaurants, cafes etc.. We hired a car at Cairns airport and did our grocery shopping for the week at Smithfield (Coles, Woolies, Dan Murphys, etc). Saved a lot of money. Avis does one way rentals from Cairns airport to their office next to Alassio - too easy. The local general store is convenient but expensive. Would definitely recommend Alassio.
