Great little hideaway, with a nice garden setting which is perfect for a summer's afternoon.
NICE Clean room. Very friendly staff. Parking infront of unit. Overall good experience.
Booking in was easy. Picking up the key was a horrible experience. Was told that it's a 24/7 counter. After I booked in and paid, was told they might not be open at 8pm when I got there and to call and confirm before 5:30pm if they would be Which I did.
The lady behind the counter seemed like a back packer and really had no idea what was happening. Directions to room were bad with no markers along the way.
Room was mostly clean but that's all that was going for it.
The spa when we used it showed lots of dirt that hadn't been cleaned. The tiles didn't get the water to the drain plug on the bathroom floor, instead they sloped into the room and made the carpet wet.
No extra towels or sheets provided. The A/C was extremely hard to find out how to use it as there isn't a remote. Just a thermostat next to the unit with two separate switches to turn it off.
Bed slates kept coming out. First time I sat on the bed to take off my shoes and the bed collapsed.
All in all, pretty horrible experience. The good thing is it looks pretty. If that's your thing, stay here.
UPDATE:
I have since checked my credit card statement.
I now have 3 separate billing payments made to Elizabethan Lodge. Totaling a price of $250 - I just called to ask why I have so many odd billing charges and they have not got back to me at this stage. This is pretty annoying as no contact has been made by Elizabethan Lodge in regards to why these extra payments were taken out.

Had a wonderful time at a friend's wedding here. Did was really good staff were really friendly and just let us all be a silly selves all night long leaving us to have the best time ever
Nice place, very good for functions, weddings over 80ppl not recommended. It's get crammed and DJ's setup at the far right corner and absolutely no space if it's a big setup. Struggled real hard to setup. Parking is bit hard.
Good wedding reception venue with its own chapel for the wedding itself. Its also quite close to the eastern freeway with a fair bit of parking, making it easier to get to. There is also on-site accommodation but I didn't use it in my visit.
We came to Elizabethan Lodge for a wedding. The chapel was gorgeous, with red roses for the stained glass, and also very impressed that it wasn't actually a religious Chapel. The wedding reception building was just a few metres from the chapel, so it was very convenient too. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and very down to earth too. It was a very enjoyable wedding!
Attended a wedding where we were seated next to the kitchen/bar. The tables were crowded and I was knocked every time the serving staff walked past, which was quite frequently. The room was stuffy as only one of five air conditioners was turned on. The food was plentiful and quite good, but the meals for those with dietary requirements seem to have got mixed up after the entree. However, the food was good and the gardens were lovely.
My Daughter just had the wedding of her dreams at Elizabethan Lodge and we couldn't be any more happier that we chose this venue. Right from the moment we booked they were so friendly and helpful. All the guest just were so impressed with the facilities the food and the staff. The young wedding coordinator we had on the night was amazing nothing was to much for her and did everything she could to make my daughters day special. If your looking for a Venue make sure you take a look as you will be pleasantly surprised !!!! Thanks so much
My wife and I got married here. The outdoor area where we had our ceremony and the indoor reception area were both lovely. That being said, our overall experience with the venue (particularly leading up to the wedding) was frustrating and at times overwhelmingly so. When we were shown around the venue we were told that we could easily plug our ipod or other device into the built-in speakers in the reception hall, but later we were told we had to use CDs for the speakers to work properly. Upon investigating further it turned out that many couples had complained about the quality of the built-in speakers and they were no longer recommending couples to use them at all. One person from the venue actually suggested that we hire a live band or a DJ. Everyone from the venue that we complained to suggested that we contact the owner Andrew. On many occasions I attempted to reach out to Andrew (who has no email address or phone number that can be given out) by calling the venue at the specific day and time that he was meant to be in. After a few weeks going by of me attempting to reach him, weekly, and leaving numerous messages to him via his staff and after the staff promising me that he would call me back, eventually the assistant manager called me and told me that Andrew had agreed to hire speakers for us and that they would cover the $150 cost. How generous. Everything needed to go through Andrew whenever something that was originally promised to us was taken back and we were told that Andrew is difficult to reach even for the staff. Among the other things that we were led to believe but then changed were: We were told they send emails every few months about food tastings. After that never happened and we inquired about it, it turned out that they no longer held proper food tastings; we needed to look over the menu, send them a list of dishes we wanted to try and then they would line up a wedding with two of the dishes. The obnoxious part here (and thematically throughout the months leading up to our wedding) is how they said one thing when we chose the venue, changed it completely afterwards, and then never informed us of the change until WE contacted THEM, and if we had a complaint or query about it, we were directed to an illusive owner with no number, no email, who even though I left numerous messages for asking him to contact me, never once contacted me. As this list continued to pile, everything that we requested or questioned needed to go through Andrew first who was never able to be contacted. The venue didn't deal with the flower delivery on the day. We were also told we could bring alcohol between the ceremony and reception but that was taken back. They left out the last name of a guest on their card and didn't even call us to confirm. The soft drinks at our wedding were completely undrinkable. It nearly ruined the night for my bride who had to resort to drinking wine instead of mixed drinks. We would have been happy to supply our own soft drinks if we had known how terrible they would be (although I'm sure that detail would have to go through Andrew). The only reasons that the Elizabethan Lodge gets two stars instead of one are because 1: Julia was lovely and made sure that things went smoothly on the day and at the buffet breakfast in the morning, and 2: the Wedding itself was a great wedding, despite all of the many obstacles we faced along the way which more often than not felt like pulling teeth with a person who was completely unreachable.
Beautiful wedding reception with great food and a really friendly team. The gardens are amazing!
Very comfortable and cozy beds. Cleaned room and linen every day serviced by friendly staff. Secure parking. Quality service for a budget price..
