Simply awesome. Great rooms. Very accommodating staff. Awesome wine tasting with the stay. And a great meal.

A fantastic venue that is situated in the picturesque Yarra Valley. The resort is spacious and has accommodation to suit all wallets. The prestige room my wife and I stayed in had the usual electrical appliances, and a hot tub. The room decor was crisp and easy on the eye. The resort offers a variety of dining options in its onsite restaurant, and nothing we ate disappointed us. The food was flavoursome and thoughtfully presented throughout, right down to the room service option. The onsite spa is also worth indulging in if you get the time. The massages my wife and I had were thoroughly relaxing and the staff were very professional. Nothing was too much trouble.

We got ourselves a premium suite and it was worth every single penny. The room was huge with an excellent view. To top it all, it came with our own jacuzzi tub !

I have just left a highly recommended review on trip adviser.
But thought i would also like to say that your resort and staff are AMAZING.
Seriously could not fault a thing from the cellar door, sipping amazing wine out on the deck, dinner, breakfast and that fantastic room ( didnt want to get out of that incredibly comfy bed).
Thank you for a very relaxing time and congrats on the choice of ALL your attentive knowledgeable staff.

We stayed here last October as well and this time decided to return for 2 nights. Such a beautiful place to stay with a fantastic restaurant, and you can't miss tasting (and buying) wine at the cellar door. Fantastic views from all rooms and in the most perfect location surrounded by wineries, breweries and much more.

Ate a lovely 2 course lunch at Rae's, the main meal was home made Linguine - delicious but portion was a little small. Panacotta dessert was amazing. The rose was so good that I bought extra bottles to take home. Nice location in Yarra Valley

A luxurious and relaxing resort in a great location. Spent 2 nights at Balgownie and finally got to tick hot air ballooning off the list. We spent the rest of our time indulging in delicious food and tasting a wide range of wines at the hotel. Will definitely be back.

My new fave getaway! Cannot believe I haven't visited the Yarra Valley and stayed at Balgownie Estate sooner
What a delightful boutique, luxurious resort.
Located perfectly amongst near all the major attractions ( Yarra Valley chocolaterie is a must visit) wish we had stayed longer though as there was so much to do just at the resort!
The staff were efficient and friendly, rooms spacious and clean. (loved the spa)
The restaurant is a delight we had dinner and breakfast the next morning. We are already planning our next trip back!response / report this review -

Went there for lunch today we chose the 3 course option everything was absolutely delicious washed it down with a bottle of there red wine, staff were friendly and helpful.
But I was disappointed when I went to use the toilet there was urine all over the floor not what I expected to see when I opened the toilet door of a 5star restaurant.response / report this review -

Had a lovely night at Balgownie. We had a bit of trouble with booking in but the staff were helpful in fixing everything up. Our room was great, the spa a total luxury. The grounds at Balgownie are stunning and it is easy to relax there. The only disappointment of the stay was the dinner. We would return to Balgownie to stay again but would just give the restaurant a miss.

Popped in to sample some wines but was quickly turned off when a tour bus turned up and unloaded a bus load of tourists who swamped the cellar door. We left pretty much after. Grounds and products looked great. What we did see of wines looked reasonably priced.
