I recently stayed at the Brighton Savoy and the experience was all round perfect, rooms are lovely with some beautiful views of the bay, also having a car the inclusion of free parking was definitely a very welcome bonus of this hotel.
The staff were more than accommodating with any requests I had, would recommend to anyone.response / report this review -

Had our wedding in the Gala room. Service, alcohol and food were wonderful. The room was perfect and they were very helpful in setting up everything for us to keep it as stress free as possible for us. The hotel rooms are wonderful with beautiful sea views. Thanks to all the staff :)

Literally today encountered a clear "let's rip this girl off for money" conversation with event manager of Brighton savoy. As soon as I said word 'wedding' she went catching catching. Her words "because I know you said it's a wedding" we can only do XYZ for you and you have to pay this $$$$ amount of money.
I asked so there is no flexibility from your end, she goes "oh yeah we can be flexible but because I know it's a wedding you still have to pay this $$$$ amount".
Suggestion to you lady. we brides already know that we've been ripped off you shoving it to the face doesn't help your business.response / report this review -

A big thank you to Michael Lee, Dianne, Jenny and all the wonderful friendly staff at Brighton Savoy. I had my 50th birthday in the Wellington Room this past weekend and everything was AMAZING. Everyone commented on the great service and yummy cocktail food and how gorgeous the room was. I stayed the night as did some of my interstate guests and everyone was happy with their accommodation (our king room was lovely and had a wonderful beach view). Great location close to the city and by the beach was a bonus, and ample free parking made it easy for everyone too. Those of us who spent the night enjoyed a yummy cooked breakfast the next morning in the bar, overlooking beautiful Brighton beach. Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you again!!

Wonderful location on beautiful Brighton Beach and you can burn up lots of calories watching the thousands of cyclists streaming by early each morning. The staff at this long established hotel are extremely professional and treat you like royalty. If the place was falling down around me (which it certainly is not), I would return just to interact with the staff, and each and everyone I found to be outstanding and very helpful as my visits there occurred shortly after flying for many hours from Canada. When I left the last time I left orchids that I had purchased up on Church Street which has some wonderful restaurants and other shops. I am returning in September and anxious to "catch up" with these amazing people and to visit Brighton once again and walk the beach at sunrise and sunset and yes, get my exercise by watching all of those very handsome and beautiful cyclists bombing by the restaurant windows.

The location of the Hotel is very good, right on the Brighton beach. The check-in process was quick and efficient, the staff friendly enough. The rooms are clean but not too big. We had a queen size bed, which could've been bigger for a couple. They use those old school blankets, no duvets available.
The room is kept clean, no faults there. There are good toiletries available. Unfortunately no bathrobe and slippers available. The free wifi in the room is very slow, reception is really bad.
They serve breakfast until 930 am, which is ridiculous. After 930 there's no food available in the hotel, you have to walk at least 10 minutes to grab a bite.
Check out time is 10 am! Upon request, they let you stay until 11 am. They charge a day rate of 150$ if you want to stay longer.
I understand that this hotel is popular for conferences and functions. For tourists and travelers I wouldn't recommend it. In any case I will definitely not come back.response / report this review -

Attended a wedding reception at the gala room last night. We couldn't hear anything in the outside area, as only the interior sitting area is equipped with speakers, so the speeches were ruined for everyone outside. Cutlery and plates were not polished, only given a once-over in a dishwasher. All was I dealt with were fast, friendly and helpful, but the head waiter left a bad taste in my mouth after seeing how snappy and berating she was acting. I've worked as a waiter and know about the 50/50 meal rule, but she shouldn't treat customers so horribly when they ask for certain dishes from the selection of two. She was extremely rude, leading to a woman refusing food altogether because she didn't want to deal with her attitude. On the plus side, food was great (especially the salmon!) and the finger food was delicious.

The hotel was nice and conveniently located for the beach huts. Room was on the ground floor meaning no view. Windows could not be opened.

To start off the wedding reception itself was nice, food was delicious and noting was at fault. The room itself however was terrible. A family sized bedroom is absolutely tiny, there is a window that just opens up to some wooden planks.-The shower tool a ridiculously long time to become warm. And no less than 3 bugs were crawling on me throughout the stay.
