Had a great time. Caught plenty of fish and took a few home. The staff were fantastic.
Not a very well organized farm but yeah it's just a place with fish pond but you will find yourself totally relaxed there.
Beautiful white goat!!
Great place. Attendant was very helpful and fish cooked straight away was delicious. Kids had a great time even in the rain.
Did not catch anything at Lake Eildon while camping, decided to visit the trout farm got 2 trout and an 1 Atlantic salmon, attendant was really helpful.
Purchased some of there Hot smoked Atlantic salmon as well, Excellent smoked fish.
Had a great time with the kids and the staff were very helpful. Highly recommended for good size fish that taste great.
A $2.50 entry fee per person and $2.50 rod hire fee gets you into some well-sized dams and ponds with a decent fishing rod. Three smaller dams contain segregated rainbow trout, brown trout and salmon, although the latter is a lot harder to find.
A larger lake has all three species with other smaller fish - anything but the three above species is free to catch. As a catch and keep fish farm, you're sure to find some decent trout and salmon - our trout was 1.5 kg - enough to feed about four to six persons.
Extra facilities on site also include some picnic tables, a bbq and coffee. Benches and seats are located around the lake, but bringing your own camping chair makes it a bit more relaxing.
Trout is priced at $20/kg and they gut and clean everything for you. Failing a lucky catch in the dams or lake, there is also a "Desperado Pond". But hopefully you won't need it.
