Went to the shop. Staff was friendly and asked us if we would like to taste some wine. Went to the restaurant. No pressure on ordering. Great food. Great staff. Very good experience

The appetisers came out and were beautiful especially the goats curd, however when the mains came out everyone who got the market fish which was salmon loved it! Beautiful rich butter sauce with juicy well cooked prawns. However my kangaroo dish that I was extremely excited to try for the first time had a long black clue Ly hair all through the parsnip mash!! When I told the waitress she gave me a dirty look and when I didn’t touch it she finally took it away. When it returned, it looked like a pile of mush like they just scraped off everything on top with the kangaroo on the side ironic thing is that when I went to pay, the same waiter asked how everything was and I said it could have been a better experience she gave me the dirtiest look whilst snatching my credit card. Was not a pleasant experience to start our birthday winery trip.

The worst thing was it wasn’t even busy so it wasn’t like they were occupied trying to get food or drinks out to other customers. Definitely left a sour taste amongst our group of twelve.

"A Day on the Vine" Winery Tours of the yarra valley, will take you to fantastic restaurants which have both a friendly and warm atmosphere and include a nice full glass of full bodied french inspired wine. With very friendly and professional waiting staff. The food is outstanding with very generous servings, piping hot and a definite feast for the senses. We will be back.

We had our wedding reception at Fergusons Winery two weeks ago and they were absolutely fantastic. After reading some google reviews I was a little sceptical, but after trying them out I am so glad we chose them! Wedding planning with them was breezy and Louise went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted. They even allowed us to supply our own non-alcoholic drinks which not very many places do. Very reasonable price per person compared to other wineries, and their portion sizes are decent. Their Barrel Room was perfectly sized for our 47 guests, and it was very easy to decorate. Our guests commented on how amazing the food was and said they'd be back for a day out. The venue offered a gorgeous rustic setting and our wedding pictures look gorgeous. So happy we chose them, highly recommended!

Wow. What a let down. The place is very low rent with what appears to be a significant emphasis on buffet meals for bus loads of overseas tourists.

I imagine the marketing is based around the premise that it's a genuine Aussie winery in the Yarra Valley. However it's very basic with very slow service and of the 4 ala carte meals our group consumed, none were particularly nice.

My beef pie looked radically overcooked and tasted very average, the lamb rack wasn't properly cooked being somewhat rare, while a seafood dish that was supposed to come with a decent amount of veggies, didn't.

Even the beer wasn't particularly child.

The atmosphere of the place thanks in part to gaudy old furniture and a lame buffet area made for an experience I would prefer to forget.
