Loved the beer tasting paddle that had a bit of everything to taste, the food came out fast and was very good and fulling, the service friendly

Had a great time with the hubby here. Plenty of options for beer to try but really in the end would have only taken home the gen x pale ale. Still a fun experience.
The bartender that served us, Lucas, was ace. Chatted away with us most of the night and put up with me. I think I'm hilarious after a few.
Meals were a bit pricey but when you see the serving size there are no regrets, we left bellies full.
All in all very happy and would drop in again here. Only suggestion is that some cool tunes play in the background, it was a bit lacking in ambience.response / report this review -

I'm giving 3 Stars to Hargreaves Pale Ale. We stopped in to grab a six pack. Hubby and I are big Pale Ale fans and are always keen to try out new ones. We were far from impressed with what Hargreaves had to offer. Not a huge depth of flavour and a bit of a bitter finish. Reminded both of us more of something in a Pilsner range. Cost was $24 for a six pack, cellar door price.

Great beers, the ipa and esb were awesome.
Very very weird inside though, we were the only people there, extremely quiet no music or anything, just the hum or the fridges. I would have like to stay for more than one beer but it was uncomfortable.
I'll be back for take away beer, but probably not to hang out.response / report this review -

Beer has poor quality. Avoid light beer as it tastes horrible. Service is quite slow. Not a great ambience.

We went to Hargreaves after reading all the reviews online. But I was really disappointed with the food and service when I arrived. The menu was completely different from what's available from the website, the selection was a lot smaller. After placing our order, we waited for an hour for our meal, because they have forgotten about our order. When we finally got our food, the fried food was oily and not drained properly. I guess I was disappointed because I had such high hope for this place.

Went for the beer tasting; was not disappointed. Lovely way to spend a wet sunday. Charming, located in the old bank with very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

After clearly ordering meals and drinks, drinks took 15mins to come and were then wrong and then after another half hour of seeing no food and we enquired, were told it was forgotten. Food finally, after being there for over an hour and order being confirmed again, beef burger given to the vegetarian instead of veggo burger! Offered a drink during meal but too late to be wanted at that late stage. Still charged in full-couldn't offer to comp our first drinks???
A little mistake is one thing but multiple mistakes without a token of compensation is pretty uncool.response / report this review
