We spent 8 peaceful days in the Bali cottage at the end of May 2014. What a wonderful experience! John and Jenny were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. As our flight was slightly delayed we arrived at 8:30pm with very few supplies and greatly appreciated the warm welcome and a beautiful complimentary breakfast hamper. The cottage was lovely… beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and well equipped and offered complete privacy. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the absolute peace and tranquility ensured that our sleep quality was brilliant.

It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the rainforest birds every morning, and to sit on the veranda taking in the ambience of the World Heritage rainforest. It was cool at night and we greatly enjoyed the log fire.

The cottages are a short walk away from Lake Eacham and the circuit walk around the lake was lovely.

We were fortunate enough to witness the Victoria's Riflebird do his display almost every day on our verandah which was such a treat, and were visited by a large variety of birds throughout the day.

Our overall experience was excellent! We will be back and are very much looking forward to our next visit!

Russell and I reallly enjoyed staying at Crater Lakes Lodge Between the people, the place, the wild life, the comfy bed, the open fire Gorgeous..We walked in the Pioneer cabin and all I could say is "This is so pretty, ohhh, this is so pretty, ohhh russell, this is so pretty." Spa was lovely, beautiful and cosy king size bed, open fire, roses, candles, breaky hamper, wild life spotting, port, if you like that All made for a beautifull stay and we did not want to come home..If you are looking for a place to relax completely in your own little world, then Crater Lakes Lodge is for you..
