The quality of the chocolate is amazing. Loved the hot chocolate. Even had a soy dark chocolate lactose free hot chocolate. And you can see the chocolate being made. A must visit if you're in Daylesford and have a sweet tooth. Mmmmmm

I had heard that this place was great - in particular because the mill is made from straw and because they have great hot chocolates. The place was dirty, and uncomfortable. The chocolates are well done & delicious (genuinely hand crafted) and are made from ethical chocolate. It was a little on the pricey side, but what do you expect when everything is made by hand from quality ingredients. The hot chocolate was completely underwhelming, but I did like that they had a vegan option. Definately just a tourist destination, I wouldn't go back again.

Really genuine family owned Chocolate Mill. You can read about the history and construction of the Chocolate Mill. There is also information about the source of the chocolate and the chocolate making process (would you believe it takes 3 days?! Come here to find out how and why!). The staff are extremely friendly. The hot chocolates are to die for. Would highly recommend.

Vegans of Google! The chocolate here clearly has vegan options marked. I am a chocoholic and really appreciated the friendly staff who were respectful of my vegan choices to the point the staff member changed gloves to serve me my vegan chocolate. Partner had the vegan dark chocolate hot chocolate which was very decadent, I had a peppermint tea with dark vegan chocolate. The staff member overheard I was vegan and made sure the chocolate was vegan for my tea. Would love to vegan options as coconut milk can be used as a cheap alternative to cows milk. V for the animals xo

Very busy. Was a bit disappointed in the variety, thought at Easter time they would have Easter related items but not one thing. Great if you want hand crafted chocolates though.

Ok if you like this sort of thing. It's much nicer than the Yarra Valley Chocolate Factory which is just chaotic.

Relaxing place to kick back and enjoy the fresh air.
Close to mountain biking and walking tracks.
    Good service and hectic chocolate.
Woud recommend the hot chocolate but it isnt the biggest cup/mug.

Try the chilli chocolate. It is fantastic! The chocolate prices are slightly expensive for individual chocolate, but similar to what you would pay elsewhere for high quality chocolate. Very much well worth the stop if you are passing by (and also well worth the drive for a 1/2 day trip just for hot chocolate!) My wife, son and I have been to the Chocolate mill several times now, and always order a hot chocolate each. :)
