A beautifully presented hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent staff on hand. Located centrally with a short walk to the gallery and plenty of lovely cafés.

I find it to be a quiet small venue with a good bunch of regulars and I've had a few good wins there. .Should be a larger area gives more to choose from ..

We stayed here 15 years ago on our wedding night and again last night in the very same room.
We were met with a warm welcome and accompanied to our room which was as lovely as we remembered. We chose to have dinner in the upstairs "tower" part of our room and chose the Benview Farms Lamb to share. It was lovely.
Slept well in a comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Bathroom was very clean and enjoyed a hot shower.
Would thoroughly recommend!

Was a great experience until sent from the side bar bartender to the main bar to retrieve a drink menu and the attwndant there was incredibly rude and refused to give us a drink menu to bring back to the order. Upon going back to the other bar the bartender there had to go and get the menu from his colleague. Other than this it was a pleasant experience, however this employee should learn customer service.

The new staff at the coffee section are not good. Just embarrassing. I used to go there all the time. I gave them 3 times with the new staff and every time they failed me. Management shouldn't put some one at front when clearly no training been done. Very disappointing. Anyway, I will no longer go there. I will go to Ballarista. A local coffee shop 20 steps aways from these people.

Magnificent old hotel that has been restored to perfection. The service is equal to the best and the food, both breakfast and dinner, is excellent and overall value for money would be hard to beat.

Excellent venue that ticks all the boxes. Upon entry you are impressed by the magnificently restored interior. The front of house service was impeccable throughout dinner and the kitchen surpassed itself with the meal. There is a broad menu that caters for most tastes. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

“Great heritage hotel, a bit overpriced”
Good things. Good location, great heritage building. Room clean. One Pokéstop accessible from our room! Valet parking was great. Continental breakfast ok with a small range of cereal, fruit, bread, pastries, cheese, toast.

Bad things. Not well maintained. Room was cramped. Not enough power points in easily accessible locations. Internet worked (more than I can say for most hotels I stayed at) but was still slow. Some staff looked nervous. Shower nozzle too low and fixed such that height could not be adjusted. For the price, there should be a cooked breakfast included, not just a continental one.

Really very good. Beautiful decor, staff experiences were few but pleasant. Perhaps could suggest fans in the bathroom, but not such a drawback to deduct a star over it.

This is a beautiful old hotel, we stayed in the standard room which was spacious and well appointed. The whole hotel is in beautiful condition and full of interesting paintings and antique furniture. The restaurant is of a very high standard, all of our meals were beautifully prepared and well presented. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and knowledgeable. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and all the staff made our stay very special.
