Lovely suite, sparklingly clean with fabulous huge bathroom and spa. Small things would improve a lovely stay. Could do with better coffee and milk options, especially as no breakfast currently, large water glasses and cold water..just put fridge in room

Amazing. Owner has such good taste. Beautiful attention to detail. I have stayed here a number of times over the last 4 years and very pleased with the tranquill nature in the environment and immaculately clean. Thank you very much. A well appreciated sanctuary in my busy schedule.

Such a beautiful location, this accommodation far surpassed what we expected. The bed was heavenly, so comfortable! The spa was just what we needed to de-stress, and the gas fire both warmed the room and our souls. A wonderful place, we will be back soon 💖

Hi, I'm Melissa the host. The google summary is not correct so I want to clarify.
Re ROOM SIZE: All our rooms are Queen rooms and one of the rooms has its own private lounge area as well as a private balcony so I think the Google summary writer has misunderstood. It is the BATHROOMS in just the Nelson & Lysander rooms that are small. (and those rooms are therefore priced accordingly). The other rooms all have good sized bathrooms - 3 with spa baths. The apartments and cottages all also have normal size bedrooms with Queen beds.
Re VIEWS: Yes we do have lovely water views from 3 of the apartments but other cottages and apartments and the rooms in the main house all have quite different aspects. Just call us and ask. We are more likely to undersell than oversell because we want you to be pleasantly surprised when you stay and to tell others. We've been providing lovely accommodation in Williamstown for 9 years and a lot of our guests return. We hope you will too :)

This B&B stands several notches above expectation. The real difference is Melissa's and staff's culture and dedication to make each guest feel like a million dollar. Nothing is too much trouble and they go the extra miles to take care of all the details to add to comfort and the feeling of luxury. Very much appreciated.

The Captain's Retreat offers a wide range of options to suit a wide range of travellers.
Options include modern two bedroom apartments, as well as classical style rooms with a very romantic feel in the main house.
The host was lovely. She showed us around and was happy to share the history of the house with us.
I would highly recommend staying here.
