The place was ok, it was quite dated, would have given it a 4star though if it wasn’t for the following

The cottage was a little dirty, cobwebs everywhere. Few spots of mould around the place, the curtains in the bathroom were very dirty.

On the 2nd of 2 nights we had no hot water. If that wasn’t bad enough, the response I got form the owner via text as they didn’t pick up, was just wait and it should come back on. It didn’t. I messaged them 30 mins later and received no response.

2 key things when staying somewhere like this, cleanliness and hot water.

It was a good experience. But, you have to expect anything such as shut off the electricity two times ones at 2 am, the colour of water yellow, lighting inside the cottage weak. Note, there are many staircases to reach, Watergarden - Oakbrook- Tranquillity. No signal for Vodafone or Optus. 18-19 Sep 2017

I recently went to Australia from Canada to visit my daughter who had booked an overnight to give me an amazing experience for my first visit to her homeland of 9 years. While we loved the picturesque area, we were extremely disappointed in the customer service provided by the 'new' owners. We didn't mind that some of the lights over the kitchen counter were not working when we tried to make dinner. We also excused the broken handle on the fireplace door that required my daughter to get dressed and trudge down to the office to have the manager come and try to fix the fireplace after we had settled in for a relaxing night. But we lost patience when there was no water in the morning for a shower, brushing teeth, etc., -- not no 'hot' water -- no water period! We were not offered a rebate of any amount, but rather were asked to stick around for a half hour when they suggested there would be water available. We waited a full hour, still no water, so left to get on with our day. After three e-mails to the company explaining our disappointment and asking for at least a reduction in the high-end price for an overnight, we were not even afforded a response. Very disappointing indeed.

What a marvellous place, its a tranquil rain forest retreat, there are ponds with moss covered edges, winding paths, spa baths and log fires. Great place to stay.
