Great hotel. I can't find anything negative to say about it. The food was super. The location is just outside Innsbruck, so not too busy.
It's a nice hotel with panaromic view of the alps and friendly staff. .
Great hotel really good food large room and very clean
Bit outdated and the breakfast hall was a bit crowded. it is an ok place - give it a 7 out of 10
Late arrival was no problem. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Yes the house is older but renovated and the rooms are great. We had one with a lot of space, larger then usually and the bathroom was comforting as well. All over an nice stay and recommendable.
Very nice big rooms with excellent beds. Has a bar with good drinks and beer and it's own restaurant with good food. Parking outside and in parking garage. It also has a nice spa with swimming pool, sauna and much more. Loved it here
Fantastic views of the Alps from the room windows, stunning. Lovely food and good facilities for relaxing. Nice comfortable hotel, Would definitely stay here again. 5*
Great value, location and family friendly
During our recent ski holiday, our family stayed at the Sporthotel for three nights.
Overall:
The hotel is well maintained and is fitting with the Igls village charm. The family room was more than enough for two adults and three children, was clean and most importantly, had separate rooms, each with fantastic views of mountains and the runs on Patscherkofel resort.
The breakfast was very good and offered multiple selections including an egg station, with enough to last throughout waves of guests coming through. The restaurant during dinner was a bit more limited but certainly would be worth the half-board if you have the package. The bar isn't the liveliest place in town, but hey, your in Igls not Innsbruck!
The hotel is right down the street from Talstation Patscherkofelbahn (5 minute walk) and right across the street from the J bus line that will take you to the resort and into Innsbruck.
Pros:
Excellent customer service, great breakfast, strategic location, clean and spacious rooms. Indoor pool, gym and family game room are well maintained and worth checking out. If you have a car, the parking costs are reasonable.
Cons:
WiFi signal could be lacking at times, one coffee machine for the breakfast crowd wasn't enough. Patience is a virtue!
Once this hotel was a good and thriving hotel. I used to work there a winter season and was greatly disappointed after what I have learned returning to the hotel last December. The hotel is tired and run down in desperate need for refurbishment. The staff is not curteous, they don't great you when you enter the hotel, they look at you and would not help you with the bags or help you open the door when your hands are full. The bfst was at every morning a disastrous chaos with a single coffee machine to serve yourself coffee and the food was a medeocre 3star display of pary fresh and partly canned and packaged food. Not exciting and not a place I would ever recommend and or visit in the future. I am sorry but this is not the Sporthotel it used to be.
Location. Scenery. Beautiful village. People so friendly. The hotel cannot be faulted. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Excellent spa. Superb food. Hope to be back soon!!!n
Not luxuriuos, but comfortable. Easy transport to Insbruck (bus j). Easy access to hiking and other mountaineous activity
