Friendly staff, good selection at breakfast. Compact, clean rooms. Only a few minutes walk away from the main train station and old town. Safe location.

Five stars for superb location. Super quick walk to the old city center. Windows open completely. This is unusual in the states. Room super tiny but clean and charming. Staff very friendly. Love sitting in the open windows and people watching.

Amazing location but expensive for standard room :(

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in mid August 2010 during our Euro trip. This was the most expensive hotel we had to stay in and basically there were no other options and this looked the best. We booked a month before travelling so there was no other choice so we were quite disappointed to pay 80-90 EUR a night for a very simple and basic standard room that only had beds and a small cupboard for few clothes. We had a lovely view from our window - full greenery of the garden of the hotel

Buffet breakfast that was included in the hotel price was lovely! Similar to the one in Vienna with lots of cheeses and cold cuts so i loved making sandwiches with tea in the morning.

Fantastic location. Lots of restaurant choices on this side of town although we spent more days on the old town (hotels in old town were more expensive though).

The castle is so close and lovely for a nice hike all the way up around sunset time. We had a nice coffee and beer in the restaurants upstairs and a lovely walk around the castle. You get a good view of the Untersberg mountain which we also visited with the cable car one of the days. Best is to buy the card bus pass cause it allowed u to get on and off the buss around the city and to the mountain.

The rooms were a bit pricy especially for the size (20 foot x 20 foot). Our bathroom's door was broken and did not lock. The breakfast (included in price) was very mediocre and pretty basic as compared to the breakfast typical of a hotel. The room key came paired with a large metal thing (twice the size of the key) and to get a remote for our room's television, we had to ask the staff for one and then return it to them at the end of our stay. Luckily, the staff were polite and welcoming to lighten our stay and the hotel itself is situated in the middle of town.

Nice rooms. Very nice location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was average did not have a toaster. Rooms did not have a kettle. But rest was a very nice stay views no issues. Was also to leave luggage for safe keeping after checkout.
