The location was fantastic for access to the musical event we had booked. The hotel itself is a bit tired and needs a makeover. I tried to get room service from reception (Fri 29th September) and stood for 15 minutes from 2240 to 2255 but no one was manning reception. I then rang room service from my room at 2305 for some late snacks (served until midnight the menu says) to be told that the kitchen is closed. This I find annoying. Advertising a service then not delivering. Happy to stay again however, as with this visit, we won’t eat or drink at this hotel nor rely on it for that. The staff were very polite and apologetic.
Very courteous and friendly staff at the reception; made us feel welcome and all our questions were answered promptly with "no problem" attitude. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was included; food and beverage selection was very good, even local delicacies were available. Great location. We recommend for anyone going to Vienna!
Registration at front desk was courteous and efficient. As repeat guests we were provided the room of our choice. Though hotel furnishings are showing their age - the Klimt - Art Deco theme of the hotel continues to captivate our attention and appreciation of the rooms. We did not avail ourselves of local breakfast offering - there are so many refined and less expensive alternatives in the vicinity.
Efficient and helpful staff puts you in the right mood on arrival. Comfortable bed and all other expected amenities were there but the room disposition made it a bit crammed. But I would go back without a problem. A pair of slippers would be welcome, the only thing I can suggest for improvement.
Good rooms, nice and helpful housekeeping and everything is clean. Not a good experience in the restaurant though. Expensive for what you get. Wine is poured poorly (way under the 1/8 line and still charge full prize) and you get charged for the 'complementary' amuse. Which to me is a matter of principle. Luckily the waiter took it from the bill.
Lovely hotel , large comfortable rooms . extremely well located , within easy walking distance to many of Vienna's main attractions.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful
Great breakfast with large selection choice both hot and cold sections . Plus cooked to order food on request.
A definite return visit being planned for later in the year
Can't say this enough, but we've had the best experience ever in Vienna thanks to the fabulous service from Hotel Am Konzerthaus. Thanks to some extra points, we got our room upgraded, and the top floor view was fantastic, plus the little thoughts (chocolates, night tea, bathing robe, bedroom slippers, scented toiletries, daily weather forecast). They were prompt and professional, which to be honest is not very common in Europe. Also great location, close to the city centre, public transportation and most of all just right across a concert hall. This more than makes up for the slightly dated interiors and a little problem with the sink/bathtub drainage.
The welcoming was not very good experience. The receptionist face was dull and lacked smile. Some of the staff later were very friendly and helpful.
Location of the hotel was good, quite area but 5 min walk to downtown and 5 min walk to the main park. Breakfast was normal.
from the start to the end, it was lovely. i came with my parents to give them a treat, since it was their first time visiting vienna. we got an upgrade, which was a lovely surprise and the room was great. it was on the top floor with fancy window/roof, had an extra bed (as requested), pillow menu (which we tried), the daily weather forecast and chocs/tea (such luxury), not forgetting the amenities provided was great (i love the room slippers!), and also we had the welcome drink too. feels like i should/could have this for my honeymoon! anyways, everything was excellent, from the staff to service and room. one little thing though, think because the building is a bit old, our bathtub was slow to drain the water, so it got flooded a bit. but other than that, we really enjoyed the hotel and highly recommend it! plus, so close to concert hall, it's a nice way to end the evening. too bad i didn't have time to send a postcard as recommended.
Cosy hotel near the city Centre within walking distance of everything important.
Staff are courteous rooms are clean.
it's the third time I've stayed here and will be my go to in the future
Excellent location. Fantastic breakfast. Superb staff
Well located, clean, pretty and comfortable. Not extremely luxurious but a good deal if you are looking for a good hotel and don't want to pay the high prices other hotels ask for in Vienna.
Decent couple of night stay. The room we reserved turn out to be a just fine. No wash cloths provided. Maybe I've been doing it all wrong at other hotels? Anyway the breakfast layout was nice. Service is friendly. Ask the right questions and you will get the right answers. Cab ride from the airport is an easy 37 Euro. On the way out the train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
We spent two nights at the Hotel Am Konzerthaus in Vienna and had a very good experience. The location is very central, just a short walk from the city centre and main train station. The room was excellent, very clean and extremely comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would stay here again.
