The Kempinski in Vienna presents an incredibly delicipus mix of old and new, luxurious and comfortable. The decor is spot on and their breakfasts (which go until 2:00pm on Saturdays and include champagne!!) are INCREDIBLY good (one of my all time most enjoyed meals in Vienna).

The staff is young, incredibly sharp, and very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and modern, with iPads by each bed. The spa and gym are much larger than one would expect at first glance. The upscale hotel restaurant, which has one Michelin star, offers a top notch experience without being one of those fancy dinner places where one is forced to inhale flavoured essence of pork rind and somehow feel satisfied after eating just a small tower of beautifully arranged vegetables and gussied up meats.

What I love most about the hotel is that it feels luxurious without feeling stiff or unwelcoming. I can relax here without feeling watched or scrutinized for actually sitting on an exquisite piece of furniture.

The only small catch with this hotel is that it is less centrally located than I would otherwise like. That said, it is still in a very walkable area and still one of Vienna's nicest hotels.

Brilliant brunch buffet. Possibility to order freshly prepared food (eggs benedict, dim sum) from the kitchen.

Big choice if beverages (fresh fruit juices, tea, champagne). All included in the price (42€/person)

This is a beautiful classic Vienna style hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious. It all depends what you're looking for. When I stay in Vienna, I prefer a Viennesse type hotel rather than a more modern one. The breakfast buffet is also very good, especially the bread.

An amazing place to stay during a trip to Vienna. The amenities are far and beyond any you've likely visited before and the location within the city is perfect as you are within walking distance of all the major sites. Definitely make it a point to try the breakfast buffet!

Fantastic hotel, staff are incredibly friendly and will help you with anything. Clean rooms, lots of modern technology give it a nice touch. Can order in room from the supplied ipad. In room dining food from the kitchen was fantastic. Overall a top hotel to stay in.

With a reputation to uphold, the Palais Hansen had to be good. It is.

Staff are incredibly attentive without being intrusive, the quality of the public areas is superb, and the rooms (I've had two!) are spacious and will appointed. The food, prepared by Michelin starred Anton Pozeg, was simply stunning.

A medical issue on my part has tested the staff, requiring my one night stay to be extended unexpectedly, and I couldn't have been looked after better.

Sadly, that also meant that I've not ventured outside of the hotel so can't help with location and nearby attractions - all I've experienced is a taxi to the airport!
