BAB Al SHAMS DESERT RESORT AND SPA
Great And very beautiful hotels and resorts.
Peaceful environment beautiful pool. friendly cooperative staff to lovely designs and rooms, to clean pools and excellent breakfast. I loved everything about the stay. The ancient design of the hotel and rooms, with attention to details. I believe in winter it will be much more attractive, but still you may have kinda less humid weather in the early morning, and a walk was nice at that time. Keep in mind that this is a hotel in the middle of the desert, so, apart of hotels' restaurants, other restaurants and supermarkets are minimum 40 min away. And i love this place i wish i will see this place again i suggest newly married couples and all who wants to celebrate their great moments visit this place once you will love it.response / report this review -

A fabulous place to be with family or friends or as a couple. Stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it there. Missed the infinity edge pool which was under renovation. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Got hurt in the pool, even for a minor injury they called a nurse to cover the wound. Really thankful for that. The free camel ride was a thrilling experience along with taking photos while holding the national bird of the nation (falcon). Looking over the dunes, far in the horizon, the setting of the sun at dusk making the sky look sun-burst orange was a breathtaking view.

This is one of the best hotels and resorts. From friendly staff to lovely designs and rooms, to good food, to clean pools and excellent breakfast and dinner buffets.
I loved everything about the stay. The old type architecture gives that authentic Arabic feel.
The location is also intentional that you would be secluded to really be absorbed in the ambiance. The restaurants and pool particularly are great,
Do I want to drop everything and run back to the hotel? Yes!
Is there anything I would rather have changed? Yes! Since the bed wasn’t my best I expectation and the lights feels like candles.
Also you could randomly meet a reptile, some signage on the notorious area could keep guests more awareresponse / report this review -

Fantastic place! The staff are amazing pamper to your every need. Cool drink on arrival while you wait to book in. The swimming pools are awesome. While you are in the pool, they bring round free ice lollies and water melon on sticks. Just as you think it's getting too hot, they bring round ice cool flannels to cool you down. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfy. They cater for your every need in the rooms and around the pool. I can't thank the staff enough - especially Arnie - thank you Arnie for taking good care of us.

The atmosphere was amazing here. Quiet, secluded, and the views were astonishing. The food was amazing, I definitely recommend the mixed grill. The service was good, the waiters were cordial and when they brought me an alcoholic drink by mistake they replaced it free of charge. The shisha was above average.

I had visitors from UK and decided to take them to Bab al shams for the dinner and show package as I heard a lot about it, at almost 500 AED not including alcohol it seemed a bit steep also far to drive to get there but assumed it would be worth it.
I was extremely disapointed with the experience as the waiters were completely clueless (Apart from the guy responsible for sheesha who was extremely helpful and tried hard to accommodate us). We had to ask for things multiple times, and even then wouldnt receive the right thing. I also thought it was appalling that when I asked for mint tea I received a cheap lipton tea bag with couple of old mint leaves! Then I insisted on having Moroccan mint tea which they took around 30 mins to deliver, again after asking multiple times. I asked one of the waiters to get me the sheesha guy and he forgot so I had to ask again and again. The cherry on top was that the charged us extra for Morrocan mint tea which a) should have been included in the package when it clearly says 'teas are included' and b) the waiter didnt even inform us that this would be additional.
All in all I was planning to take other guests next week but I have now re planned it to go somewhere else as I was highly disappointed with how the waiters were trained and also when I raised it with the manager he just said he will remove the mint teas from bill and pass on my comments to management. after spending an hour each way to drive there for dinner, and also spending around 1800AED for three, I was left completely embarrassed in front of my guests and also disappointed. It is probably better to go to the main hotel bar and watch the sunset with some drinks and listen to the live band there.response / report this review -

One of the finest resorts from Jumeriah group. I have been here plenty of times because it's a great night out. If in dubai and have a night to spare look no further for a fun night of shisha good food and drinks.

One of the best places I've ever stayed. Just perfect to relax and get away from everything. Because it's fairly isolated prices can surprise so allow extra for food and drinks etc. A lot extra!! As an Aussie I looked out over the dunes expecting to see the ocean all the timeweird feeling only seeing sand for miles and miles but loved the place.

A great hotel in a great setting. Child friendly in the main, with free camel rides every day for guests. The staff need to undergo more training for it to be really be classed as a 5-star hotel, but this is not undermined by the lovely Arabian feel and design.
