Went to watch Gangs of Ballet perform and it was absolutely amazing. From the vibe to the food and to the service. An absolutely amazing doorman/host who is so passionate about his job. Loved every minute of being at Cafe Roux.

This place has the best host I've ever come in contact with, ever! They also have incredible live bands with a very intimate feel. It's basically one of the only places that will offer amazing meals and allow you to sit closer than 15 meters to your favourite band!

Great vibes and great venue in nature. Lots of love music and good tasty food. Nothing special but great for hanging out with friends on weekends. Vegan and healthy food options available.

Went here with some friends. Staff was very friendly and coffee's were quickly ordered and brought. No mistakes despite 12 people. Ordered food which was brought at the same time and quickly. Food was delicious, eggs were perfect, there were no complaints from any single person. A great time was had by everyone.
Would definitely return here as it was awesome.

Cape weekend institution. Great way to spend a brunch, lunch or evening entertainment. Regular live music, check program. Village surrounding offers variety of eats and shopping options. Passing through or local, a must stop.

This is one of my go-to spots when I bring out-of-towners on an explore of Cape Town. It's so conveniently located near to Chapman's Peak and the weather is almost always beautiful in Cape Town so this place is an instant winner. Despite its popularity and busyness, it's surprisingly easy to not have to wait long at all. The food is great, the price is very reasonable, and the kids' play area is phenomenal. You can host a kids' party here easily and it is mostly big enough to not have to worry about other kids getting in the way. It really is a great stop. Problem is parking - you are hard-pressed to find parking (I've never failed to find parking but it's often a case of losing up to ten minutes driving about waiting and hoping to find a spot). Again, I would take any of my visitors here and not be shy about it. The kids are equally easily entertained.
