What a wonderful day we had, my toddler had a ball feeding the animals. The animals seem content and their food looks top class. Even though they are renovating they certainly are a gem in the making.

Loved taking my 2 year old to see the monkeys, pigs and goats. You even get to feed the animals and it's really cheap R10 per adult and R5 per child for a walk round the mini zoo and you get a baggie of food. You can pay an additional R5 per baggie of food if you want to stay a bit longer and spend more time feeding the animals.

Large surface area. Plenty of basic stock for all animals. The stop you goto if your usual shop is out of stock.
Lack of willing staff to assist.
Lack of decent animal care. Fish are in a state with sick and nearly dead fish in a couple of tanks. If you can see in the tanks. Aquariums are VERY dirty and no lights. Prices are by far the highest i have seen from petshops on westrand

They have a variety of pet products and a small zoo that can keep kids entertained for some time. It is a cost-effective outing for the family. Other shops offer refreshments, woodwork and gifts, hairdresser and garden stuff for sale.
