Has a Kauai bar/restaurant that operates same hours as gym. Nice pool. Gym treadmills need tlc
The equipment is in need of maintenance and old. Lights are for ever out in the ladies change room. The ladies change room is ancient. Metal grey old lockers. 3 toilets only. It's from the 1960. Yiu complain and even their head office don't do anything about it. They ostriches with their head in the sand. The whole gym needs to be upgrade. It's the stepchild of Virgin Active. I am sure Richard Brandson would be ashamed. The only good thing is the staff are great.
Ideal for a quick workout on the weekdays. Access to squash courts and pool area. Virgin active staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities and smoothie bar available.
Don't bother. The place is soon to close down and no care is given. The equipment is outdated or broken. There are a lack of classes, no Wi-Fi and the changing rooms don't seem very safe. The staff were polite and helpful but otherwise, I would not recommend this place. Foreshore (same branch and not too far away is much better)
Very nice place to gym. Equipment a bit outdated but works well. Parking is an issue (R4 per 15min or part there of between 8:00 and 17:00 during week, 8:00 and 13:00 weekend). Steam room and sauna are in the change rooms so not unisex. Big pool. Functional area. Happy there.
Oh and they are closed on weekends so you can use any gym on weekends.
Great as usual.
worst virgin active I have every visited. Equipment is out of date . Sauna and showers has terrible smell. water leaks at water fountain(when it works). Queenax machine has no add-ons making it pretty useless. Power block is broken to name a few stuff. but the worst part of this gym is the unprofessional instructors and personal trainers, Absolute terrible., been with this gym for a year and i use other virgin actives over the weekends. This virgin active is a disgrace to the Virgin Active brand
I will try to explain my situation in the best way possible.
When I was in Cape Town, I was going to the gym and before I made the contract with the Virgin active from Green Point I said that I would have to cancel my account because I was going back to Brazil (my country). So, I gave them a copy of my ticket, my passport and a declaration explaining that I couldn't keep using the benefits of the Virgin active. And then, they said that they would send a fax to the central Virgin and later would send me a confirmation of it, but they never send it. And now I'm in Brazil and the Virgin Active from green point is still charging money from my credit card. That is not fair. This is an abuse. Please I need someone to help me.
Thanks for your time
