Nice venue at the harbour, and the food is of a good standard. Decor is pleasant to the eye, but the let down is the service. Now i say this with a general view as i have been here quite a few times. i have had great service hear but unfortunately, more average service than great. But dont let this pass this venue byit is a nice place to eat.
My recommendation: Yes!! take a visit.

Beautiful setting. Beautiful restaurant. However poor service from the waiters. It was a quiet evening with possibly at least 6 waiters on duty with 8 tables to serve at most. Have never seen people so studiously busy doing nothing. It is took long to draw their attention. Then finally long wait for the bill to arrive - even though we started walking to the front desk, there was still no rush for any waiter to get our bill. It seems like just general bad service as diners at other tables needed to walk to them to get attention too.

Food was acceptable. We had the ribs & prawns. Ribs was not the best ever but I guess nothing to complain about. The prawns were also just okay, nothing amazing. Service was not up to standard. We had to call for attention to order anything. Our dirty plates sat on our table for 30 minutes between courses. We decided to skip dessert as we couldn't wait for them any longer. They were friendly though but does not make up for it.

Looks like nothing on the outside.. But inside??? It's another story. Beautiful setup.. Marrying both casual and formal. Lovely view. Lovely menu. Great service.

Amazing place! Amazing vibe! I was blown away by the quality of the food service and serving speed!
Also the bathrooms were impeccably clean on a busy night and that is a clear indication that the kitchen is the same!
Well done guys, I will be here on every visit to Cape Town!

Food was great and didn't take to long. Service sucked though and card machines didn't work. Management wasn't very helpful.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Tonic our waitron was excellent. The turn around time was impressive and the food was hot. Only problem was my husband Steak had go back as it was not cooked well done as order. The steak was still not cooked well when it was brought back from the kitchen.

Stunning view of the harbour and Chapmins peak. The food is delicious with an array of choices from seafood to pizza and that's besides the sushi and oyster bar. I recommend trying one of their oyster shots.

Lovely views, right on the water. Service quite terrible. People (4) walked in after we (2) ordered and already got their bill by the time our food arrived. Only explanation from the waiter that it wasn't his fault. He was going to call the manager, but after waiting almost 10 minutes, we left, having had more than our share if waiting here. My husband had a burger for R99, same quality as burgers of a third the price from a drive-thru fast food place. When you look past the setting, not much to get excited about.

Friends spoke highly about the place but personally very disappointed in general service and incompetence of some of the staff aka barstaff and hostess. Young female manager was really good and went out of her wait to fix some below standard incidents. But she was way to overwhelmed by killing fires all night. Other male manager clearly needs to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty. Pizza as really good. Will be back to try the seafood. But will call first to make sure the female manager is working otherwise I would be to scared to go.

We visited the Lookout Deck in Hout Bay for lunch.
The overall experience was great. Our waiter Courage was excellent. He was attentive and did enough to make us feel valued.
The food was excellent. My wife had a lamb pizza and I had the burger. Both very good.
The location of the lookout deck is beautiful. The view of the harbour and mountains are stunning. You may even see a few seals.
The manager Gareth came and checked on us which was nice.
Great service, great location, great food.
