Beautiful and serene venue.
Rooms: spacious and clean. However not all rooms are equipped with the same facilities, regardless of the same price.
Food: not so great, the buffet breakfast was average and quite disappointing. Also, there were cockroaches in the restaurant - very unhygienic.
Overall, it was a good stay

Clean environment, good quality food, friendly staff but poor electricity connectivity. The power tripped at least 5 times during day. It affected our level of concentration.

The stay was good, the bed was comfy and the room looked nice but we waited over 10 minutes for our water to get hot and it was not very comfortable.. the next week I tried to report the issue we had and some one was going to call me back, but they never did..

A down-to-earth hotel, restaurant, and conference centre. Very accomodating management and reasonable pricing. Have used this venue for business conferences and staging area for cycle rides in the Cradle of Humankind. Lovely location on the edge of the Cradle of Humankind reserve.

Awesome place for conference,lunch with friends and family, weddings, training. Accommodate cyclers and has friendly staff. Beautiful gardens and reasonable price wise

It is not a fancy expensive hotel! It has a nice garden and located on the bycicle root and all weekends you can see lots of cyclists stop there to have brunches in the restaurant.

I went there for a wedding party. It was nice with the function at the garden and the rest in covered hall.

For budgeted function it is good venue.

Been there a few times. Once we stayed here to get away and get some cycling done had a ball. Loved the food, JP and his wife made feel right at home. We planning a wedding at the venue.

Bikes being stolen while having breakfast

Hi all. Just to let you all know. We had our bikes stolen this morning off the bike rack while having coffee for literally 15 mins!!!!! It was at Valverde. Do not leave your bikes on be rack there. They flipping do not deserve the business. Security guard's story did not add up reckon he tipped he tipped them off. Mine and Johnny's bikes plus 3 others. All top end bikes even a Pinarello!!!!

Next to popular bike training route. Leave your car there for R20 and get R20 discount if you have a breakfast or coffee afterwards. The breakfast is excellent.

Awsome spot. I use as central point when cycling. My family enjoy spending time there as the food is good and pool sparkling clean. The staff are very accommodating.

Great place for cyclists looking for a home base for your morning ride. The hotel itself has seen better days with shoe string repairs starting to show. The rooms are large and perfectly functional. The hotel is moving towards green energy with all hot water being heated with solar. Breakfast is included in your stay, but has become over priced and slow due to the influx of cyclists on weekends.
