AWESOME, homely food and atmosphere. Interior lovely. The kitchen is the source of mouth watering creations. Regular intimate breakfast get together for artists and authors.

Only had breakfast here, was very nice, very friendly staff. Definitely a must go. Loved the pressed ceilings and the wooden floors with the antique furniture.

This is one of the most special places in Joburg. You'd do yourself a disservice not to stay here. Comfy beds, AMAZING breakfast, and a truly exceptional and caring staff. This was my third stay over a few years and there is no other place I would ever consider. They are truly dedicated to first class service; willing, ready, and able to help with anything from transport to tours to restaurant recommendations.

Breakfast truly is the best meal of the day! The complementary breakfast was vast, varied and scrumptious. We had a wonderful stay due to the amazingly helpful and friendly staff who took a real interest in us and helped us to navigate various difficulties. The lodging is in a quiet neighborhood but we sampled several excellent restaurants and some shopping within easy walking distance. The rooms were a little cold, but then, it is winter. The great care began even before we arrived as it was Die Agterplaas who phoned us in another country to tell us our flight had been cancelled and followed up with us until new flights had been booked. We highly recommend Die Agterplaas.
