This is a great spot for camping, hiking and climbing. Was awesome for my daughter to experience her first camp trip. Would definitely go back. The people who work there are really friendly and helpful.

Well situated for climbing at the boven crag. The chalets are basic, not well maintained and dirty with cockroaches scattered throughout. If you're looking for a marginal upgrade from camping then the chalets are the way to go. However of you need a weekend away with some basic comforts then skip this stop.

This is such a great place to stay. Anything from one night to a few weeks. There are amazing cycle and hiking routes as well as lots of rock climbing. All very well marked

I have been visiting Tranquilitas for longer than Google Maps exists and I just keep coming back for more. This campsite has been in continuous improvement since the beginning. They have the best showers in the world in my opinion and the campsite is very well maintained. The vibe is welcoming and people are consistently laid back - as should be expected from climbers. Even the mountain bikers are friendly and fit well into the scene. Besides visiting the world class sport climbing crags I have occasionally gone for a spin on their mountain bike routes which is a notch above the rest.

Don't expect luxury but a lovely place to go for an outdoors weekend. Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Hiking, climbing, mtb is stunning!

I don't just love it here I am full out fan and would recommend this place to anyone! Although this place is for extreme rock climbers from around the world with grades for even the most experienced climbers. You have access to hiking trails that you won't find anywhere else. Views from cliff tops and views from inside the jungle below. Waterfalls and tranquil settings for those trying to get away from the hustle and bustle. Camps sites that allow for easy access to facilities such as braai/BBQ area, fridges out of reach from the wild animals and showers that maintain the tranquility. Always friendly people to meet there, vibrant and enthusiastic to say the least. You will meet friends for life. Hangover Rock climbing swimming pool for when you want to cool off. A must see for the hiking and climbing enthusiasts. Really cheap rates not to mention with a snack and amenities bar!! A small town just outside for anything you might need.
