The rooms are acceptable and clean, however they can't provide an iron before you pit down a R100.00 deposit which requires you to go down to reception yourself with crinkled clothes to collect.

I slept in this lodge twice, the first time I had my own clothes iron, the second time I forgot it and when i called the reception to borrow me their clothes iron they said I should bring a proof of payment and I should also go down to reception to collect it..what a POOR service I experienced?

If you are absolutely desperate to find a room go for it but be warned. The rooms smell like an old 70's house that hasn't been opened in a decade. The rooms are even dated to that year because the carpet stinks. If the town lodge is full don't even tempt coming here.

Just what we needed, a place to sleep and showed after a long day on the road from Johannesburg.
Fortunately, we were given a connecting room, so we could have an eye on the kids.

Rooms are small with a tiny TV and not much of a channel selection. A breakfast buffet is available but there is no hotel restaurant for other meals. Pretty much what you would expect from a 1 start.

The staff, however, greatly increase the standard as they are very attentive and professional. They remember small details like breakfast preferences and often take the initiative to accommodate their clients. The rooms and facilities are always clean as well.

Great place to stay for while on business for a couple of days.
