I recently (Oct 17) stayed at the Parkwood while on business in Johannesburg- First statement I made to my colleague who was travelling with me was " WOW our travel company got this one right!!"
The location is perfect within walking distance to local restaurants and bars and should you want to stay in the food & dinning is superb.
Rooms are stunning - 5* standard !
The owners live at the hotel and are more than helpful, Dean (owner) went above and beyond in helping me get a few early morning cycles in again which were great before work!!
As for feeling safe in the area - 100%!! And we walked to local restaurants. There onsite security guard is also very helpful (Marcus)
Highly recommend and would stay again!

Small boutique hotel with home touch, spacious, cozy and conveniently situated at the quiet area of Pretoria.There is swimming pool. Owner is really care of the guests. Excellent breakfast. Lot's of shop around.
