The Palazzo is the perfect place for a stay-cation (if you live in Joburg). Service, accommodation and food is 5-star! We love staying here for special occasions and often swing by for a drink or two during the week. It’s a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff. Tip: check in over weekends when there is a full candy bar in the entrance.

The Palazzo, an Italian styled hotel with all you could expect from such an establishment. Relatively easy check in with friendly, helpful staff, great rooms and service, rolling lawns, poolside massages and cocktails on tap make it a marvelous getaway from the hustle and bustle of Joburg life. Seems to be the chosen venue for our local and international Super Rugby franchises. Take a meander through the hotel in the week preceding a game at Emirates Airline Park and you're almost guaranteed to catch a glimpse of your favourite rugby stars milling around the pool or taking in the plentiful activities.

Extremely friendly staff who greet you with a warm smile everytime they see you. The service is to a high standard. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with Windows facing a well maintained garden. The meals served are delicious and well presented . I would definitely visit again.

I love this hotel but I wouldn't stay here again. The staff are fantastic but this is the British Airways hotel in Johannesburg and the crew are a pain in the arse. They take the hotel over. They're drunk at the bar. They put meals and drinks in other peoples rooms so CHECK YOUR BILL. They don't queue for check-in or check-out. They take the reception over for their welcome and departing drinks. If only the service they demand came close to the service they provide then BA might be the world's favourite airline again

Palazzo never disappoints. Beautiful manicured gardens, stunning water features and a building filled with opulence. Always a favourite to get the most out of the perfect Johannesburg all year round weather.

Good for a short stay. There's a good breakfast spread too. We stayed in a standard room. Was quite good with the bedside plug and USB port placements.

Amazing stay. The executive room was luxurious. Complimentary beverages and cakes were really good. Second best breakfast we had in a South African hotel. Hubby and I had a 60min couple massage by the pool and enjoyed it.
Also celebrated my husbands birthday at The Rosa which is a lovely breath taking venue. Definitely is a 5star hotel in every way.

The Palazzo is possibly the most gorgeous hotel I've ever stayed in. This is luxury of its finest. Staff is all really helpful, welcoming and professional. Pool area and gym are super. Rooms are good size and the double bed is amazing comfortable. All rooms come with bath and shower. Furthermore, the montecasino complex has everything you need, from bowling and cinema till casinos and bars. Highly recommended!

This had to be one of my favourite places to visit as the staff are always friendly and engaging. There are great facilities within the hotel and activities in the attached palazzo from bars to restaurants to cinema to bowling. The chicken and avocado sandwich is a must try if laying around the pool area and don't miss the opportunity for one of the best massages you could get either around the pool or in the privacy of your room. Fantastic visit would sum it all up.

Truly beautiful hotel, with 5-star service & comforts. Stunning Gardens & Pool Area. One of the few scenic & luxurious outdoor venues for a meal with family or friends, or romantic getaway with a loved one. Tuscan theme truly transports one away from everyday bussle of Life, to an Tuscan Countryside. Centrally located & right next to Monte Casino where every need is catered for.

Lovely gardens and peaceful location. Next to a casino with entertainment. Restaurants have good service with a good food variety.
Rooms are welcoming with nice views. Double beds comfortable with good quality linen.
Bathroom is clean with a bath and a separate shower.
Checking staff could be more friendly and helpful.
Overall an excellent resort to have a romantic or family holiday.
