We had such a lovely week-end with the Van Rensburg family. Took a walk up the Langkloof which was spectacular. The kids had a ball in the river - we hardly saw them all week-end. The newly re-furbished rooms look great - I especially like the farmhouse. Thanks so much for your hospitality - we will be back!
The retreat is currently under renovation and the new rooms are just lovely. The resort is right next to beautiful views of the mountain range and there is a natural stream at the bottom of the plot. The owners are very friendly and the service is good.
A stunning getaway in the Northern Drakensberg - ideal for the whole family! Hikes, trails, fishing, pool and comfortable accommodation
Beutiful views , simple life lovely atmosphere with very nice hospitality
If its luxury accommodation you after this place is not for you Lucky for us it is not what we look for, You are welcomed like a long lost friend into an old family style holiday home. Things may not be new and sparkly but rather well worn, must be said very clean, but all this only added to the rustic charm of the place and being out in nature.
The best part of all was that we got to take our fur kids with us who had just as good a holiday running around to their hearts content on the open lawns.
We will definitely be returning in the near future, with so much to do near at hand it makes for an awesome base at very affordable prices to explore the Northern region of the Drakensberg.
Have just spent a weekend at Ledgesvery disappointing and the website is very misleading. Dingy and run down
No cold water in the showerDSTV had been suspended due to non payment. We were told it would be back on on the Saturday..but was not. Very little cutlery crockery in the cabinhas to go in search of wine glasses at the bar.
The pool was green and full of debris. The pool fence was falling down,m and the whole place just looked unkept and neglected.
To top it all of, the baboons are chased away by someone shooting off a gun.whilst the guests(us 4 and no more) are around!!
Will definitely not be back.
Very sad, as it dampened our stunning mountain experience.
Stayed over for 8 months in 2001. Very quiet farm-like, home-like experience, liked it but some work to be done. Jo and Louisa were very friendly hosts. The food was great and the bar had good vibes chatting with other visitors. Nice to walk about the lapa, pool and short walks in the area. Farm animals were a welcome add in. Would want to say hello again.
The place is a low grade backpackers dormitory. The pool is green with algae and would be better used as a fish dam
The owner has a bad attitude with more problems than solutions.
We would not stay here again.
