A hidden gem. This resort made my top 3! Some amazing trail runs start out here, the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. I look forward to our next trip here! #AdventureAwaits

Wow what an awesome place! Mountains, rivers, short/ long hikes (even) in the rain. Amazing food breakfast - tea - lunch - & dinner small portions & if u want more no problem.

It is an amazing place, especially for older folks. Plenty of entertainment, lots to do, great food, attentive staff and short and long nature walks. There are lounges with shelves of books to borrow and read as well as board games to play. And ofcourse morning and afternoon tea with cookies to savour as well as afternoon film shows. Lekker

The food is spectacular to say the very least! My wife and I had an amazing time at The Cavern! Awesome hiking trails and the spa was great. I would highly recommend The Cavern to anyone looking for a great place to go for a decent break.

Wow. What a weekend! This place is beautiful. It is a perfect place for a weekend away. The food and accomadation is just brilliant. The staff is just amazing. Thanks Zinhle our waiter for the weekend.
There are a lot of activities to do here at the place and around. This place is on 5 km away from the famous All Out Adventures. I will definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back soon. Thank you. God bless you all.response / report this review -

Simply stunning! My wife and I were visiting from the UK with our 2 year old son, we were staying with my wife's grandmother and looking for somewhere to have a few days away from the coast. I came across The Cavern's website and knew this was the place. The Cavern is a treat from start to finish. The setting is beautiful, the sunsets on the front lawn are just wonderful. All staff say hi, are friendly and make you feel welcome. The walks in the surrounding countryside are varied and breathtaking. The rooms are large and homely. The activities for children and adults are many and entertaining. The food is just a dream, complimented by great table service.My wife's grandmother is notoriously picky, but did not have one bad word to say about the food or service! The nanny service is a great touch, allowing our son to eat his meal and then relax while we ate in the main dining room a few feet away. This place knows how to look after it's guests, there are games in the evenings that raise money for the local school, there were art classes during the week, followed by an art exhibition (with complimentary wine!), and at the end of our stay the staff sang traditional songs and handed out mugs of Milo (hot chocolate) afterwards. I cannot praise The Cavern enough. We loved every minute and will return!

This resort is amazing if you have kids and need some down time. The food is out of this world! We love it here and will continue to go every year. Only 4 stars from me due to bad spa experience.

We could spend all the time in the world here. Very classy yet at the same time so homely. Staff are efficient and very friendly. The guided tours are super and the guides are ultra fit. More than that, they must truly have the patience of Job as they have to put up with all kinds of folk. The surrounding area is beyond description. It just is too beautiful. About all, the peace, quiet and Tranquility is worth every cent spent or miles travelled to get here. Very kiddy friendly. What can I say. My third stay. Hope there will be more.

Our annual mountain getaway in Winter, absolutely fabulous have been there 14 times in the last 16 years! Excellent resort fur family's with kids of all ages, fantastic staff, home away from home! Beautiful memories 😊

If you're looking for a tranquil get away with the family from the city life keep this address for the future and you will experience the beauty of the nature around the drakensberg the place is feels with lots of outdoor activities from hiking trails canopy quad bike to horse back riding at the nearby all out adventuresthe booking comes with lunch dinner and breakfastlunch us feels with variety dinner is with set menu and the breakfast is with lots fresh fruits to choose from the stuff are very friendly and helpful kids are welcome here
