Pools are very well kept and there is ample to do for a family with kids. Special tariffs for pensioners makes it worth the while. Personnel are extremely friendly and helpfull. Good restaurant food completes the picture. Nearby attractions will keep you ocupied during longer stays. We will visit again.

If its a weekend away where you literally want to unwind then this is it! Family orientated with loads of activities and very friendly staff.
The heated pool is a great one to relax, the long slide brings fun and laughter to all who experience it. A spectacular place where you feel safe and you can take long walks at night comfortably. A definite getaway on our list every year. Its magic!

Clean friendly staff. Chalets are well equipped with all you need. Love the underroof swimming pool, cool off in the cool pool. Beautiful views of the drakensmountains. Farm animals are well looked after. Going back soon.

The first time we had an amazing experience and enjoyed it so much that we recommended ATKV to family and we visited a second time with friends, but on the second visit there was a terribly awful smell to the water that wasn't there the first time and only when we complained to the office did they informed us that they using boorgatwater and when it rains the smell is worse. Which we felt they should have warned us about on arrival. It was very difficult to bath in it and to use for basic necessities. And the Sunday lunch we had, we felt wasn't worth the money paid, the meat was excellent, but not enough veg and there was no starter this time round and the charged us a different price to what the quoted.

Really my favorite place ever!! The peace and quiet atmosphere is to die for. Going in the winter is the best time of the year! Would always go back because the people are so inviting and fun!

Stayed in house 7 - we have a small family, more than enough space with 2 rooms and seperate toilet & large Shower. Kitchen is fitted with granite tops and SnappyChef induction plates that work really quick & efficient. a built in braai outside on stoep is great for social after dark. Resort offers daily cleaning service &laundy, an indoor heated pool, outside cold water pools, Horse riding, put putt, squash, trampolenes, giant chess, table tennis, darts & shop with most of what you might need in a hurry.
There is also a restourant for buffet breakfast that we didnt find was quality for money. The coffee shop next to the shop is good for a quick lunch or coffee/soft drink.
The resort is quite isolated between Harrismith and Bergville so be sure to fill up your tank before you head back from a day out to the berg. there are fuel stations at Little Switzerland, Bergville & Winterton with the first being the closest (15km)
The resort can get a little quit outside of peak season as there are no "day programs" offered to keep the kids busy - I would reccomend a stay of 5 days max.

Very clean affordable resort. Very nice hot water pools, indoor and outside with supertube and put put. Will definately go back to camp again

Had a great time at ATKV Drakensville the past weekend, however there are a few things that need attention. 1) Roads in the resort needs to be fixed, plenty pot holes (2) The squash court floor must NEVER be polished a couple of us almost had serious injuries with that slippery floor (3) The slide closes way to early, we had such a blast on it. BUT the security gate at the top has very sharp edges and 2 people from our group did cut their fingers on the gate. That is the BIGGEST thing that needs to be sorted out ASAP before a kid cut open their head or face. Other than that I will defiantly be going back sometime this year.

I really like the place. Chalets are close to everything on site. The program is really great. Printed for convenience. The hearted pools are awesome even in the rain.
