Calling this place a sanctuary is a joke. This isn’t a proper sanctuary. Proper sanctuaries don’t let you ride the elephants. These poor elephants have to work for tourists so that they can bring in money for their owners. Rather call it the Elephant Cash Cow For Greedy Humans. Now that would be more accurate.
Awesome. Experience!!!! Young children need to and must be controlled. These are wild animals and they come from stressful environments. Parents:NB!.if you cant control your childten its stressful for the animals as well as other guests. NOT suitable for childten undet 12!
Only went to the monkey sanctuary since the last chance to see the elephants for the day is at 14H00. Nice sanctuary. Most of the monkeys there were previously pets and domesticated and then owners brought them to live in the sanctuary. I recommend that you include feeding them so that they imteract with you more otherwise you will not enjoy the experience.
Fantastic interaction with such magnificent animals.
The guides and handlers are very experienced and organized . The elephants paddocks were
Too Small However , that’s why a 3/5 - it felt zoo like .
Awesome experience, friendly and proffesional staff , thank you for rescueing these wonderful animals and allowing us to appreciate these wonderful creations.
Great Experience with gentle giants. But only for people who love canned lion hunting. These elephants do not behave naturally, because they are trained like circus animals to behave for the money public that have to be protected.
Humbling experience standing next to these magnificent creatures. A must see for all animal lovers or anyone visiting beautiful South Africa.
Had an amazing experience! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I suggest staying at their wonderful lodge, Tuskers, and doing the 8am Elephant interaction with brushing.
Such a great place to learn and interact with some wonderful animals
Beautiful place. The elephants are really well taken care of and the staff is really friendly and helpful
An amazing experience, 1st time touching an elephant. Simba was an amazing guide and knew alot about the elephant's. Lovely experience.
Informative well spoken pleasent tour guides. Monkeys well looked after and cared for.
The guides are extremely knowledgeable and kind to the animals. None of our party rode the elephants (as we've heard that's bad for them), but just learning about them, taking pictures with them, walking with them, and getting trunk-kisses made the time a blast.
P.S. Don't approach the monkeys! They bite.
