Friendly, smiling, staff. Rooms comfortable and pleasant. They also offer a self help complimentary drinks service. Great breakfast too.
The room sizes are good. Comfortable beds. Great and convenient location. Parking is a nightmare. Not enough space, you are asked to park in a lot which although close by does not have sufficient security. The furniture particularly wardrobes were refurbished. Looked good but smelt old and musty. Definitely can’t store clothes in it.
Excellent quality small hotel, very welcoming staff who went the extra step to see we were comfortable and safe. Taxi's summoned and eating out venues were perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
Was at the Benjamin I had a very great time
Very good B&B, lovely guest wife who will help you with everything you need or questions you'll have. Also good breakfast, lovely beds and rooms, complimentary drinks and it feels like an welcome and warm home. In the weekends you will probably here the clubs is the street, but during weekdays it is fine. We didn't bother. The benefit is that the street also offers a lot of restaurants, so you don't need to go far at night time. Also a small shopping mall is a street away. If you want to go to the center, they'll have an map for you at Benjamin's and provide you with all the tips and tricks for Durban. Just be aware, as an tourist Durban can be unsafe sometimes. Don't risk things if you don't need to :)
Lovely staff very friendly. Good sized room and nicely furnished. Parking a bit challenging and only 1 tea bag. Would love a fitness room to round it all off.
Great place. Preferred to what any hotel has to offer. More personable rooms as opposed to what you will find in a hotel. Very homey feeling, neat and clean, helpful staff and great location in the heart of Florida Road. Recommend
Great Breakfast great bed
Great staff and great stay
Great location, service and comfortable rooms. Staff go out of their way to be helpful.
The Benjamin is a great venue for a small conference. It's central and close to the nightlife of Durban but it has an olde world feeling of warmth and calm. Orchids are everywhere to be found, and there are deep armchairs into which you can sink. Botanicals and comfy chairs, good foodd and staff who are both extremely courteous and efficient. You can rest assured your out-of-town guests will be in safe hands at The Benjamin.
Love it, friendly staff, clean, and the breakfast exquisite, hope i will visit again
Very Nice hotel, a bit noise because of the location (but this is the location you want in Durban). They do A lot of maintanence and breakfast is Good. Beds are not so great.
