Work on the following:
1. Hotel and internet photos are not the same.
2. Bath tub could not be closed to fill with water and I had to get maintenance to fix it.
3. Room not looking as advertised. Very noisy Saturday nights.
4. Ate a soup starter at the restaurant. It promised croutons and crispy bacon bits inside, instead like the internet photos I got bread pieces and bacon strips that is just cooked.

Used to be the place where we would host our corporate guests few years ago.
Went back last year in November and had a very unpleasant experience.
The ENTIRE SAFE was STOLEN from my room with my valuables inside.

Literally, like in a Hollywood movie!

I would say security is non existent compared to other 4 Stars Hotels.
It looks like anyone can walk in and get away with your stuff.

My favorite! Right opposite Gateway Mall - very convenient. Superb rooms with lounge area, fridge, sink, cutleries, big balcony. Very spacious esp. If travelling with kids. Good ans friendly service. Small but cozy and family friendly restaurant.

Nice hotel especially for a family with kids. No Swimming pool, milk and sugar in the rooms they put enough for 2 people only even though we were in a family room. Did not replace soap bar with the cleaning. I must say their Guest service was responsive when you request extra supplies

Great place to spend time with family and friends. Great location within the Palm Boulevard and Gateway Shopping Centre. Near Chris Saunders Park as well. Classy hotel. Highly recommended

I love staying at the Royal Palm. Perfectly located, 15 minutes from the airport and just minutes to the beach! The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. The staff is friendly and the parking ample. No complaints :)
Also.. They leave sweets on your pillow!

I loves my stay here. Did not have much time to take many photographs. This is by far the best hotel in Umhlanga Ridge. Rooms are spacious, meals are great, the mall is across the road. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Breakfast serves the best cappachino in Durban.

I enjoyed my stay very much so.
Staff were friendly and polite as well as efficient.
I loved the room that I stayed in.
It had all I could require.
It didn't bug me that I didn't have a beach view.
I was after all, a short step to Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

Doesn't have a view of the ocean but an excellent place to stay. Rooms were stunning and service was good. Hotel is right next to Gateway Mall and less than 5 minutes from the beach. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Will surely visit again..
